nope lelouch was not acting on the phone with suzaku. Being the genious he is, lelouch already understood clearly what suzaku's message was.
''have u ever hated soemone so much u wanted to kill them''
"it's fine to feel hate"
''i don't intend to go back''
dead giveaways that they're talking about tearing each other to shreds, it's just they've done it in a way which, to me is more realistic then I'M GONNA TEAR UR HEAD OFF. Seeing as they're childhood friends and all.
it is always the darkest before the dawn...
I think little creepy girl #2 told suzaku pretty much everything about CC and Lelouch, judging from her name she might be from the same race as CC (whatever that might be).
As far as I could tell they never made Lloyd out to be gay at all, Just he loves his machines and technology to much.Originally Posted by rockmanj
Anyway this show is awesome. I hope suzaku dies soon. He needs to go join Euphie and stop messing with Zero's plans.
This is great to finally have an anime with a strong character. Zero felt sad about what happened with Euphie but he didn't let it finish him, instead he turned the situation out to the best it could instead of crying and acting all devastated.

But yea, i really liked the talk between Lelouch and Suzaku...it really sounded like Suzaku knew what was going to happen, but it would go aginst his established character. And IMO, i think the emperor intended Lulu to meet CC, and i think this may just be some sort of test to see how ruthless lelouch can be. Maybe he wants Lelouch to be his successor, and wants to make sure that he's capable to cruelty and violence...just my theory.
This would have been a far less exciting series if everything had gone smoothly according to Lelouch's wishes, though. You always need strong opponents to keep things interesting. And as we saw, things certainly didn't go as Suzaku would have liked, despite all his struggles.Originally Posted by Takuma
Yeah. I was thinking along these lines at one point, but I'm not so sure anymore. While what you say makes perfect sense in many ways, still the truth is also that Lelouch is trying to break the empire apart, not exactly conquer it. So, it's just a bit doubtful if he could ever make a good emperor...Originally Posted by rockmanj
Ahhh....but that's only the 1st part. I think, if I'm right that Lelouch would eventually figure that out, and then somehow change his ways...but it would be so much better and shocking if he didn't and became the next emperor, and remained a total dick!
i totally agree with the sentiments that the Emperor is giving Lelouch room to manuever, letting him get stronger and stronger. I think the Britannian emperor knows what is going on and is actually quite happy to see Lelouch weeding out the weak family members. I can already see the "Become emperor of the world, Lelouch!" scene already...
Euphie as Lelouch's "first love"??? The scene in the med bay where she almost tried to kill Suzaku actually managed to make me sad for her, and that's amazing considering I hate her to death. And I really do feel sympathy for Suzaku... Him and Cornelia are going to go buck wild on vendetta seeking.
Diethard continues to intrigue me...
Who is "Marianne"? Name doesn't seem to match the ongoing double letter theme with the Contractors. And yeah, V.V. seems like a young boy to me. And he almost definitely told Suzaku about Lelouch being Zero. The composure in Suzaku's face and "there's something I want to tell everyone" and the talk about his now being motivated by hatred. plus what reminisc pointed out.
I'm worried about Lelouch's mental state.... if he can really hold up through all of this...
Humans are different from animals. We must die for a reason. Now is the time for us to regulate ourselves and reclaim our dignity. The one who holds endless potential and displays his strength and kindness to the world. Only mankind has God, a power that allows us to go above and beyond what we are now, a God that we call "possibility".
Marianne is the name of Lelouch and Nunnaly's mother, the late Queen. I'm guessing of a total of 3. (Lulu and Nunnaly, Cornelia and Euphemia, Clovis and Schnieser by a possible third?) She's been mentioned before. The question is what C.C. has to do with her.
She already is connected to several characters:
-Lelouch and Nunnaly's mother
-Cornelia's Idol
-Piloted the Ashford family Knightmare Model prototype, the one that Nina is messing around with right now.
That's Marianne's Knightmare??? Oh heck... if Lelouch remembers it... Nina will have a gruesome death (I HOPE!!) for using it.
*spoilers*
I think there is at least 4 queens, because there seems to be a trend in the imperial family that the middle name is the same for "direct" siblings, i.e: Connelia Li Britannia, Euphie Li Britannia, Clovis La Britannia, Schneizel El Britannia, and of course Lelouch and Nunally Vi Britannia.Originally Posted by Ryllharu
As to C.C, connection to other characters, particularly deceased characters, I believe she just has the ability to speak to the dead. The emperor demonstrated this ability too or at least he said he did(this happened right at the beginning of episode 6).
Diethard also intrigues me because i think in a way he sees Lulu as the next Alexander the great, rising to power and shaping the world according to his will.
Lately though iv been thinking about how Sayoko fits into the picture. Since she seems to be a spy for Diethard does that mean she has already told him about Lulu and Nunnaly? And if so does that mean she is willing to betray them and hand them over the Order of the Black Knights? She seemed to be pretty dedicated to Nunnaly so at this point she seems like a enigma to me.
*end of spoilers*
Btw im glad to see that everyone seems to be keeping this thread from falling asleep until episode 24/25 and season 2. I guess it goes to show you how great this series is.
Remember, Diethard had Sayoko in the Academy BEFORE Zero even appeared. We know that Diethard has a disdain for royalty -- maybe his first intentions were to investigate royalty for slander but instead found out about Lelouch and Nunnaly. Or perhaps Sayoko's found some interesting information about the Ashfords and the knightmare that Nina's trying to develop.Originally Posted by TheBladeChild
I'm more confused about the new developments with VV and Marianne. Has or will VV give Suzaku a geass as well? How does marianne and CC know each other?
Curious, where is your proof that Sayako has always been working for him? The only time an arrangement between those two has ever been mentioned was in eps 21. Sayoko not only mentioned to Kallen earlier that Suzaku was hope for all the Elevens.Originally Posted by Everon
Diethard said "I will one day introduce you to Zero." That only means that he knows she is in a very useful position and that she wants to formally meet Zero to join the Black Knights and give to him whatever information she can. "a need for the commander of team Zero to escape." Refers to Kallen if I am not mistaken, since she is the leader of Zero's personal squad.
Sayoko is a sleeper agent for the Black Knights, nothing more at this time.
I've seen this theory elsewhere, but honestly I don't think Suzaku knows Lelouch = Zero yet. V V probably told him about the Geiss, and that Zero had it, and that's what made Euphie go nuts. I think he called Lelouch for support and to talk this whole murder/revenge thing out with someone who's had experience with it. Veiled threats aren't really Suzaku's thing, and he thanks Lelouch for the help, which I don't think would happen if he was talking with his girlfriends' killer.Originally Posted by masamuneehs
but did Lelouch support him at all? And Suzaku, who was crying his eyes out when Euphie died, was so stone-cold calm...
You might be right, maybe VV only told him that Zero is a Geass user. And it would make sense for him to call his best friend, one who is big on revenge...
However, I viewed the conversation, especially Suzaku thanking Lelouch, as his last instance of viewing Lelouch as a friend. He was nice and polite, even though he knows Lelouch is Zero, out of respect for the memory of their friendship. Not accusing him may also have been Suzaku giving Lelouch one last chance to confess. Obviously he doesn't want to kill his friend, doesn't want to accept it if he can avoid it.
In sum, I saw it as Suzaku being "Lelouch, you know you are my only real friend. I have to do something horrible, and I'm full of terrible resolve right now. I want you to know how important you are to me, but you betrayed my trust, horribly killed the woman I love, and are causing this futile conflict. Thank you for being my friend, but now that friendship is finished."
Besides, suppose Suzaku doesn't know yet. If that, how do you think he'd have acted if he had known? I envision that as being exactly what happened in the end of 23, and that's part of why I believe he knows.

I would picture him as more angry and directly confrontational. More like, "How could you do this? She was your sister, you were my friend." And Lelouch for all his evil genius aspirations still has a human side. If Suzaku really found out Lelouch would be much more upset. Not that that would stop him, though.Originally Posted by masamuneehs
But we know Suzaku is more than a little unstable, so it is hard to predict exactly what his reaction would be. I wouldn't put it past the series creators to have made this deliberately ambiguous to set up sort of a secondary cliffhanger.
Suzaku is not smart enough to be subtle and cunning. Everyone who has watched code geass should know this.
Peace.
Yeah, I don't think Suzaku knows who he is. The main reason he called Lelouch was so that he could tell him and the guys at school that they shouldn't look up to the sky because he's going to show a side of him that he doesn't want others to see, his murdering side. And Lelouch said that he'll be back at school shortly, so Suzaku is expecting him to relay his message to the others.
Yep. I know it doesnt really make much sense (asking someone not tok look at the sky and all that crap, since it will probably only make them want to look more), but Suzaku never really made sense ever, so it fits his character perfectly.
Is it just me or does V.V. look like a weird boy? I really dont approve of the voice actor, since it confuses me whether V.V. is a boy-voiced girl or a girl-looking boy.
Peace.
