There is a third side, and I believe they implied they will be moving in soon. In eps 23, they showed a Chinese leader from the backside (the very distinctive southeastern mountains of China in the background). Weak portions of the Chinese Federation have already become involved, but were quickly removed. Also, there is no EU. The world is either Britannia, the Chinese Federation, or Japan (Russia, Africa, and South America are not shown, but even if they aren't already annexed, they are apparently of no importance).

I'd also rather not see Cornelia die, but I think it's bound to happen. Even if she finds out Zero is her long lost half-brother, he also still killed Euphemia.

    I'm more worried about Viletta...

Actually, the EU still exists. In one of the episodes (I think it was the episode where Euphie announces her plan for the special adminstrative area for Japan), they show representatives for the EU along with the Chinese Federation.

I seem to remember them multiple times referring to EU. I could be wrong, but whoever wrote the Code Geass wikipedia pages seem to share my recollection... Britannia rules their own island, (North) America, and probably as well all the other colonies Britannia ever ruled in our reality, plus some essential ones to the plot, like Japan.

I just finised watching episode 22 and 23.
WOW, it's been said but I just needed to say it.

The order Lelouch gave just blew me away, I thought she was going to be able to go against in some way or be handled, but she got to say it and get involved and then when she got rescued I didn't think she was going to die, thinking that she might've been able to live some how, but it's great she didn't.

    Also, C.C said Marianne, wasn't that Lelouch's mother's name?

I wish Nina would hurry up and die and stop turning me to stone every time I see her.

I like how things are proceding, there is no turning back now for Lelouch, or anyone for that matter. Now time for the wait.

Hmm, guess I was wrong about there being no EU. I figured that since Cornelia was attacking somewhere in the middle east when she was first introduced, that they had slowly been moving across the map, conquering everything.

*** Spoilers up to most recent ep ***

Wow, this series really turned around in the last two episodes. They were almost at peace and now it's total war... And a lot of interesting developments. It looks like the geass commands can be resisted after all if they go enough against the victim's personality. I thought for a minute there Euphie was going to try to strangle Suzaku, but instead they had a nice death scene. And they introduced V V, the emperor's version of CC maybe? And our favorite Orange is back, as a cyborg no less.

I also did like the phone call scenes. Especially Lelouche talking to Nunally who was asking when they would get together with their sister again, and Lelouche being like, "Yeah, about that... um...." "Brother?" "Everything is fine. Yep, just fine. Gotta go." Wuss. And the call from Suzaku was a nice disconnect with Lelouche sitting in a control room about to launch an attack and suddenly switching his personality to comfort a friend. Who he's about to try and kill. Damn, but he's a good actor. I wonder which personality is more like his true self?

I also like the scene with the Japanese princess telling him she's a goddess of victory, and Lelouche saying that he's sorry, but he's already made a deal with the devil. True enough.

Last two episodes were kickass, yadda yadda yadda, pretty much the same comments as everyone else.
I think that Suzaku knows that Lelouch was the reason why Euphie got killed because of that V.V. guy. Last episode of the season is coming up and I got a feeling that Suzaku is going to die. I'm just glad that he's not going to be fighting for "justice" this time like a normal human being.

    *spoilers*

Omg when heard about the teaser trailer for Code Geass: Suzaku of the Counterattack, I had horrifying flashbacks of GSD. Im glad that it was just a April fools joke.

Anyway I too just remembered that C.C. said Marianne's name. Does this mean that C.C. can also communicate with the dead?

And looking back at Kaguya she looks much younger then I thought she'd be, because of the opening sequences.

I really hope that Nina dies soon. I just hope that in the process she wont kill Lelouch.

And now the wait begins. I have to find a new show until CG comes back around, anyone got any suggestions?

    *end of spoilers*

Aren't there still 2 episodes left?
