The second mid-episode still in episode 4 got me thinking:
Why wasn't Mizuho shown with stubble waking up in the morning?

Maybe he uses Nair now.
But you know, they could've spent an entire half-season screwing around with the whole Crash Course in Cross-Dressing theme, but apparently there's a whole story they want to tell instead.

Anyone else watching this? Or am I the only one reliving my highschool drag years?
I've been watching it. I just discuss it in another forum usually. I vaguely have an idea of where the series is going later on, but for now I'm rooting for Takako, the class president, to have a yuri (or so she'll think) moment with Mizuho. Ultimately she'll get confused until she figures it out. Should be good fun.
I would agree with you, but this show doesn't seem to break that many conventions. I imagine they'll keep building this one-sided love/hate thing she's got going on, but nothing will really come from it. It doesn't take much imagination to figure out who will end up with who, and who else will go home heartbroken. (I don't know, maybe I'll be surprised.)

Anyone know where I can get episode 2 High Res? The torrent is no longer hosted on the tracker.
I ought to lose my internet connection more often, because that seems to be the only way to get new episodes...

Well... seeing as how there's only one episode left and there's already enough unresolved, I don't think we'll be seeing any more backstory (e.g. why Mizuho was enrolled in the school to begin with). So what's left is a drama with some sparse elements of mystery, which really only serve as a set-up.
It's a very well-done series, but not nearly as deep as I'd hoped.
The reason Mizuho was enrolled in the school to begin with was brought up and completed during the Ichiko arc. Mizuho looks exactly like his mother, and was sent to the school on the wishes of his mother and grandfather. Or at least that's why he is in his mother's old room, and the plot orchestrated to make him into the Onee-sama.
i dont know man thats kind of week the whole arc was kinda more like a side story to me, i dont think the whole reason they sent him to the school was over a ghost? i agree with bucket i dont think its gonna be resolved as to why he came to the school doesnt seem like theres much time left could be wrong though.
Favorite Gotwoot Mod moment: "Why is everyone in that show black? The art and music are pretty good, and the voice acting is alrite as well......but i can't stand that guy who follows afro around. Hes so, well, black, for the lack of a better term (well thats not true, there is a better term, but i wont use it here)" Assassin

Ichiko was a convenient side affect of Mizuho living in his mother's old room. Regardless of Ichiko, they said that it was in his grandfather's will that he go to that school as a girl, and live in that specific room (that Mizuho later found out was his mother's). In the episode where Ichiko "ascends" (eps 5) Mizuho realizes that Ichiko's Onee-sama was his mother. He then goes on a breif speech about why his grandfather made him go to that school and live in that room. Since Mizuho only knew his mother from a hospital bed, he was sent to the girl's school to get to know his mother better. There's not much detail other than that, but it's pretty blatant.
If that's what you mean by not explaining it in detail, then you're probably right. They've explained every aspect of how Mizuho came into his particular situation.

Ah, a nice, warm ending to a series.
Though, was the headmistress addressing the late Sachiho in the end, or is there some minor plot twist going on?

Well, we already know there isn't much more to the series than meets the eye. So... that's the end, then. It was enjoyable, but it gets an overwhelming 'meh' from me.
I started this series knowing it was fluff, and got out of it exactly what I expected. I liked that they ended the year through a montage during the credits, rather than dragging this series another dozen episodes after the climax. I enjoyed it for what it was.
I'm also happy with the implication that Takako is the most serious of the two potential girls for Mizuho. Mariya was always too "best friend" to take seriously.
I was surprised there was no erection joke in the entire series.
