Sumomomo Momomo: The Strongest Bride on Earth
Sumomomo Momomo: Chijou Saikyou no Yome /
Sumomomo Momomo - The Strongest Bride on Earth
This is a series I have been looking forward to ever since I heard the name first time.
A promo is out by Megami:
Sumomomo 15s preview - Megami
"Based on a seinen manga by Shinobu Ohtaka, serialized in Young Gangan.
Koushi Inuzuka is a smart high school student who aims to become a public prosecutor. Unfortunately for our good guy, he was born into a martial arts family whose head (ie his father) only knows one language: violence. When Koushi was still a baby, his father made a pact with his biggest rival to marry Koushi to his opponent-turned-friend`s daughter. The union of the two blood lines is supposed to bring forth Earth`s strongest martial arts clan.
Skip forward: Koushi is in high school, oblivious to the marriage arranged for him at his birth. Enter Momoko Kuzuryuu: sugar bomb, airhead, loli martial arts artist and Koushi`s self-proclaimed bride (the strongest on Earth, no less). Her wish for sexual intercourse meets with Koushi`s square refusal as he has absolutely no desire to get it on with someone who looks like she could be his little sister, not to mention that he doesn`t have the foggiest idea who she actually is.
Meanwhile, a war has broken out between the martial arts families. For Koushi, this means that numerous fighters are out to challenge him. As if that weren`t bad enough, our protagonist also has a fight phobia due to a traumatic incident that took place in his childhood. Now it`s up to Momoko and her superhuman fighting skills to protect her "husband." Will the two sweethearts survive the trials and tribulations ahead of them? More importantly, will Momoko get her way receiving a baby from Koushi?

The preview doesn't really tell much, other than the graphics are agreeable. Hopefully the first episode will appear soon, as the raw has been out there since last week.

A pretty crazy show indeed. Momoko is indeed an airhead... There was quite a pace in the first episode, mainly due to Momoko's uber energetic nature. I wonder if it will cool down a bit in the future episodes. Also, I wouldn't have minded if the martial arts had been a bit closer to the ground and not looking so highly symbolic (or were they clearly supernatural?). I hope this aspect will change a bit in the future, as well.
Nevertheless, it looked like a good series and worthy of the bizarre name.

This title reminds me of the Simpsons episode where Homer is obsessed with Moe stealing his drink idea and then he starts hearing everything as Momomomomo...momomo....momo.
Is there anyway to get this besides bittorrent? My network admins block and actively monitor bittorrent use, and getting caught means big trouble.

I watched the first episode and this isn't my cup of tea. I only watched it because the name sounded interesting.

Regardless of the hilarious title, this is a really weird series (to me, at least). Gonna have to watch a few more episodes before declaring it watchable or not.

Well, now you get a chance to watch one more of those few more episodes needed:
Episode 2 - Megami
Edit: The future looks promising and already gives a hint of how they possibly could support this for 26 episodes. This episode was in a certain sense more stabile than the last one, which was basically just introduction.

Well since it seems Megami has been shut down, I managed to find another source for Sumomomomomo... mo.
Episodes 3 & 4 by Luperry (never heard of them myself, but seems to have done a good job)

Is Megami shut down for real? Not just the web site?
Well, if Luperry does good job, I guess it's all the same to get the treats from them, then.

Not sure, but haven't seen anything from them since the site got shut down. Luperry's are very good quality video though, and the translation seems to be done well though I do miss the "Let's engage in child production" line that Megami had in the opening song.

Episode 3 was great. The polar bear was hilarious - especially the voice acting.
I generally like hard subs better than soft subs, but there wasn't really anything to complain about. Luperry seems to be doing good work.

Glad to see that Megami's still alive and kicking!
For now though, Luperry's got 'em beat on speed, so I'll be grabbing from them for now.
Speaking of which, episode 5 is now up: http://www.luperry.com/files/%5BLuPe...5D.mkv.torrent
