"The long war against Frost Republic scarred many places of the Empire; famine, plague, returned soldiers who become bandits… Worrying about these "war damages" resulting from the devastations of the nation and people`s minds, the Empire Army orgnaizes the 3rd section of Information Bureau known as "Pumpkin Scisors", and they assigned the section for the duty of recovery from the war damage.

Three years have passed since the truce so called "thin ice agreement". The 3rd section hasn`t accomplished their task, yet. Rather, they are absorbed in paper works, and without notice, people ridicule that it is an "Excuse Section" that suppress people`s complaint. However, they strive to achieve their tasks. One day, a man offers a help to them. It was a big guy who used to be a soldier. Dangling an iron lantern from his waist, he handles a heavy gun one-handed."

    Excellent.
I've been waiting to see this series since I saw the trailer on youtube.

    Will download later tonight.

It's great to see another Eclipse project. I'll check it out because it sounds interesting, has a rather strange title, and because Eclipse is subbing it.

I really like the premise of this series. We've been seeing a lot of shows that are about wars or result in wars and large-scale battles, but we don't often see post-war (or at least cease-fire) themed series. It also has a Eastern Europe post-WWII feel to it.

The "mysteriously strong ex-soldier" is a little overused, but the will-o-wisp Anti-Tank soldier is kinda original, and one who only uses a breach-loading pistol.

I like Alice as well, the overzealous, justice-driven heroine. In the very beginning, you could see she was severely disappointed there was a cease-fire.

Should be good, and the art style reminds me of Solty Rei (another Gonzo title I enjoyed).

This seems like a rather below average series.. run of the mill characters, bad humor, but atleast that guy's weapon seems kind of cool :\

It looked like a decent enough series to watch casually. I have to agree with mage to a certain extent: some things looked a bit cheap content wise, but I'm not really one to stare at such details too forcefully if the story is otherwise good.

I was also thinking the graphics looked somehow familiar, and perhaps it indeed was Solty Rei like Ryllharu said.

Hard to say, you never know they've plans to do something until they announce it. Anime seem content to leave stories unfinished. The other thing, was the anime loyal to the manga? From what I can tell, only 9 volumes have come out in Japan and I'm willing to bet that that's just about enough content to make one season (which we already have).... so until Japan releases more content, I can't see a second season coming, and that's assuming that the anime was loyal to the manga.

Library War is reminding you about this right?

Anime covered a little more than 5 volumes of manga content, so if it's to continue, I'd imagine they'd need another 5-6 volumes. Which means about the time volume 11 wraps up would be a good time to start, depending on how dense the material is.

If only 9 volumes are out ... no idea, but that'd probably be like 2 more years before we'd see that next set animated, minimum.
