The Youma thing is easy enough to deal with if you just swallow it.. but the creation of Claymores themselves based on that same concept is pretty muddy still.

Hm, I actually don´t see the problem. Youma are created by being infected from the parasite, which grants them super-human power. To fight Youma, Claymores insert part of a Youma inside themselves to gain access to these powers. However, the Youma-flesh doesn´t lose its infected effect, so over time, the Claymores go nuts. In which case they´re asking another warrior to kill them.

Of course, the whole procedure is weird.

The problem I have, mainly, is that the parasite sounds like it's a little man inside your brain, as opposed to some infective, dispersed bacteria that evenly distributes itself throughout the flesh.

Ah well. Given the types of explanations we've been given thus far, I doubt I'll get a Pathophysiology of Youma Extra Chapter..

I think the bigger question is if Jump Square June listed anything else by Yagi. Most of us had assumed that if there was going to be a change to a continuing series, it would have been the title.

Raki can take it like a man! It seems he had even more sympathy for the little ones after seeing it, as well. I hope he grabs a sword from somewhere before leaving, though. There should be plenty lying around the organization's HQ. A buff dude like that looks more natural carrying a blade rather than going unarmed.

I have to say I'm looking forward to the future chapters now more keenly with Raki and Clare's meeting a veritable possibility already.

The subs were weird whenever they mentioned "treatment on the spot". Deneve sounded like if Clare emerged "untreated", they'd have to "treat her on the spot", and she'd end up looking like that anyway (implying that she might not if she was "untreated").

It's all very weird.

They have the heads of Youma implanted in their chest, or in Clare's case she has Teresa's face. It's kind of weird they never showed it because it's not terribly shocking or surprising at this point.

They haven't shown it because it's easier to let the reader imagine whatever horrible deformation they always have than to create one that would meet the expectations of the public at this point.
