Sci-Fi HARRY
First episode released by Shinsen:

This series is about 6 years old, and I've always been curious about it since it seemed like a series I would like. Finally someone is starting to sub it, hopefully I'll like it.
"The Anime is set in the US in the very near future in what appears to be a small West Coast town.
Harry is definitely not your average American teenager. Instead, he is the epitome of an "alienated youth" - friendless at school, extremely weird and nervous to the point of paranoia. But a chance occurrence causes Harry to start to demonstrate what appear to be psychic powers - yet he neither believes in them nor consciously controls them.
But there are other ominous forces at work who do believe in Harry, and attempt to make use of him in ways that are threatening and frightful."

Saw the first ep... kinda intrigued. Harry as a character is usually the kind of character I hate watching, though. I'm wondering what are the odds he's going to end up like another Shinji from Evangelion =P Reminds me of Stephen King's Carrie too. The animation's unusual because it's a Japanese take on what Caucasians look like. I think those animators got some of their drawing cues from recent Disney movies. The way Catherine's drawn reminds me of Lilo haha The pace is kinda a slow overall but I think that's just part of this anime's style.
Anyway, I will keep watching. I'm very curious which direction Harry's character will go. Paranoid revengeful sucker? Pyscho snapped murderer? Dictator of the world? Stay tuned!

This was pretty cool. I agree though, characters like Harry piss me off. Hopefully it won't end up with the Akira type "boy with psychic powers goes crazy and tries to take over the world" cliche.
There are a few grammatical errors in Shinsen's sub, though. Hopefully a group that passed English will pick this up. I hate archiving animes with grammatical errors.

Considering this is a shit-old series, I really doubt anyone else would pick it up. Shinsen will have to do, as much as I hate them...

Fairly impressed this - as Honoko said artwork is kind of odd, and agree with the comparasion to Shinji (thought the same when I saw it) - it also does remind me of 'Project ARMS' (similarities in the drawing at times, also Harry reminds me of White Rabbit [has been a while, apologies if comparasion/name slightly off]).
I don't yet get the reason for the title, 'Jellyfish', assume it has some other meaning in Japanese.
Reckon I'll stay with this -- story looks decent and the artwork has me.

I like this series - but at the moment I'm having trouble seeing how it will get to 20 episodes.
The style of the series seems to be that akin to a short story, and the last episode there nearly felt like a conclusion...
Looking forward to seeing how this series matures...

It seems like it would make more sense to have a build up to his powers instead of introducing them in the first episode, but I suppose they have something in store for us with this route as well.
