Oh it wasn't that bad. I too thought it was worthless, but it was at least moderately entertaining at times. The blow gun and seeing the Laser Feet again made it okay for me.
The end of innocence is not nearly at hand yet.
Episode 9 - SD
Edit: Allen has far too much trouble dealing with level 2 akumas. And now the girl appeared, one of those human form akumas that you could expect to be higher than level 2, or the level 2s wouldn't possibly be so willing to listen to her words. It looks like a direct confrontation wouldn't be an easy one for Allen (and Lenalee).

I've just compared the episodes of the various fansubs, in terms of video quality, i felt that Black Order was quite good, translation wise, TW-SHS was better compared to the rest. SD is good just for the fact that its the first to release its new episodes.
Any comments on whether which fansub to stick to for this series?

now it looks like the TW-SHS alliance is of no more, Shinsen is tackling the future subbing of this title alone...
I have so far download all the episodes from SD, and seen no problems that would bother me, nor wished for anything more or to be otherwise. So, I'll be sticking to SD. I'm happy with their translations and the speed of releases is the best, so what more can I ask for?
actually for SD, if you know some Jap, their translation is not as accurate as Shinsen's that's all i can tell so far with some minimal japanese knowledge.
But for video quality and translation, Shinsen's one is definitely better. The only thing good about SD is that its fast like some others say. That's why i was hoping to see more comments from anyone who has downloaded the other groups for this same series and done some sort of comparison btwn them...

Actually it's not... it's TW wannabe's, still it seems to be a normal occurace for groups that carry that name.
Not a terribly impressive episode all in all. I skipped parts of it as I got bored of watching the hag complain and moan how hard her life is. It was also pissing me off how Allen still had so much trouble dealing with a few akumas. Fortunately he got over that in the latter part of the episode.
But even more than that I didn't want to see the ages old cliche of "but you are a human! Humans can't be evil!". Oh yes. Criminals are a myth. Humans would never steal from another human. A murderer? Can't be a human. Nobody could imagine a human could kill another human, after all. Ally with akumas? Really? Seems like a small fish in the pond.
Get over it, Allen. Or let the katana dude be the main character...
Lol @ Kraco...Come now, in a show like this one the main character always has to assume that everyone is a good guy except the very specific group that is identified as the enemy, this problem just popped up in Busou Renkin as well.
I thought the ep was decent, though I'm much more of a Lenalee fan than an Allen fan so I don't hold him to any standards other than always winning. That being said...Lenalee's Laser Feet Tornado Kicks were pretty nice. Also Miranda's power was very interestingly implemented though it's effect was fairy predictable (like a lot of this show i'm noticing). If only she didn't have that garbage personality and stupid hair bun to go with her cool powers I might like her more. I can only hope the bun stays gone and now that she's been told she's not useless by people she starts to act like she has a spine.

Have most of you lost interest?
I've still been keeping up. I've read the manga though so I can't really contribute any "first impressions" in here. I can say that the I enjoyed the Miranda arc when I first read it so it's nice to see it animated. Miranda happens to be one of my favorite minor characters, if such a category can exist
The Best Minor Characther category certainly exists minor charachter are what bring substance to most animes since so many main charachters are so cookie cutter these days/ Miranda is also one of my favorites in this series, especially now that her hair doesn't look so terrible.
