I'm thinking of buying some external speakers for my laptop since I'm tired of its mediocre built-in speakers.

Problem is I don't know anything about good speakers. Do any of you have any recommendations, or can anyone point me in the right direction? I don't want anything top of the line, but I'd like something that's not crap and will be worth the effort in buying.
