It was obvious something would disturb the fight. But perhaps he did sow the seeds of discord within Sabertooth. That shouldn't be overly hard, either, considering it's nothing but a collection of mages, not a guild similar to the ones we have seen before. Even the dark guilds we saw in the past might have had more unity than Sabertooth.

It's not really the Fairy Tail style to win by statistics.
Considering this fight we didn't really see, it was probably as much if not more about stamina as strength. 100 monsters can't really attack a single opponent at once, so you are only fighting a limited number at the same time, but for a long time.

Yes, roundabout for sure. Considering all the high level mages around, including telepaths, it must be a damn excellent illusionist to fool them all. All in all this makes me think Iwan was too cowardly to continue in Fairy Tail. He can't even understand how Fairy Tailers think.

Right...Gajeel's spying. It would have made sense if 7 years had not gone by but come on. In those 7 years so many could have changed. Still..points for Laxus for beating them all. Or not. They seem to be mediocre mages at best compared to him.
Well atleast Wendy will get a chance to show off her two new moves.Milky Way and Daybreak Skypiecing. Since she did get the knowledge for those moves from Edo Grandeeney. IF she learned them though.

Evaluating Iwan now that we got the first good look at him, he doesn't seem to be an overly gifted mage. Maybe that's precisely why he became a rotten apple: He felt himself inadequate compared to Makarov or the other past Fairy Tail leaders and wanted to find some easy way to power. It would be the most common tale ever. The very fact he designed his guild to be an anti-Fairy Tail guild already reveals it's no good. I guess he ended up being nothing but a device to name Fairy Tail's big, dark secret.
But I'm looking more forward to Wendy's cute battle at this point!
