Game: Blockland

Ok so a couple of us on irc were talking about online games and this one was brought up.

While it's not so much of a game it's still a fun way to kill time.

Blockland is an multiplayer online lego building environment.
While the retail version development, the older version is available for download free.

Basically the premise is, you (character is a lego person) can pick up parts and build with them, and thats pretty much it. Perfect for any lego fan. Some other stuff is the ability to hover/fly, chat with other folks, pretty much standard online game stuff (except for the fly part

).

I'm not expecting/asking anyone to think this game is the shit, because it's a mediocre beta at best and the graphics aren't exactly breathtaking, for a free 8 mb download, its worth a try.

I've gone through the liberty of setting up a dedicated gotwoot server for any of those who want to play online. The server name is ".:: Gotwoot Blockland::." and the password to join is "nonoobs". So there you have it, enjoy.

Edit: I guess i should point out that the pics on the front page are not from the beta , just a little disclaimer I felt should be tacked onto this post

eh, boredom can do the worst things to man or woman, so i guess i'll give it a shot. i expect this game to be somewhat entertaining for the weird and wrong reasons.

i'll have fun building it, but even more fun destroying it!

edit: for some reason it won't start and i keep getting errors.

Strange game... but like, I can't join any servers because it gets to the end of the loading bar and just stops. x_o;

edit: nevermind, problem solved thanks to their FAQ.

Server is up, so after hitting Query Master it should show up in the list.

lol, i went in the Gotwoot block server, i painted everything there in grey (there is a huge ass tower) and i wrote Bio (look like 8i0 though...) in black at bottom of tower hehe.

also, who's that Robin Wood in the server? a bot, or one of you?

this game fuking gay. i built a beach shack then i made a stair to space and then built a staidum in space then suddenly everything got destroyed, wasted 3 hours of hard work
