    TV: Futurama back in action?

According to this (about 3 weeks old at the time of posting), Futurama has been picked up by Comedy Central, and new episodes are actually being comissioned with the original voice actors. As it's one of my favorite shows, I'm fairly excited, anyone else?

I read that a few weeks ago, I'm pretty excited to see new episodes made as it was a pretty funny show, but I hope it's going to be as funny as it was before and not turn out like last season of "The Simpsons".

Umm 2008 would be in a year and 5 months.

LaZie made this...a long time ago.

This kicks ass. I love to watch Bender drink, smoke, pillage, and be lazy. I also love Captain Zapp Brannigan. I guess the show became more popular after airing on Adultswim for a while.

Even if it was 3 years, you know you'd be watching it anyway.

Yeah, I heard (or rather, read) about this a while back on Adult Swim. Seems they've helped resurrect yet another cartoon... but, just like Family Guy, they won't get the new episodes until a lot later probably due to their lack of funds.

It appears like the creators are doing this just for the money, which is dissapointing because I bet their heart won't really be put into it.

    I hope I'm wrong though.

When a show like this is picked back up after having stopped, chances are it's aware of its own success, and will ride on that instead of going for quality. The difference to me is that Futurama has always been aware of the success of Matt Groening, and developed its comedy as such. The Simpsons tried this after 10 or so seasons and failed miserably. Fortunately in Futurama's case, that type of comedy works. I think it'll still be good.

<@Terra> he told me this, "man actually meeting terra is so fucking big", and he started crying. Then he bought me hot dogs
