    Manga: Vinland Saga

I just started reading this, and I find it very good so far. The characters are great, and the action is good. It's from the mangaka of Planetes, so some of you might be interested. I wonder if any of you has given this a try.

Series is being done by manga-screeners, hopefully some of you will check it out.

Easiest way is probably downloading them from #lurk

Bumping this thread to see if anyone here gave it a chance. MS recently released five new chapters, and they were darn good.

I'm really liking this manga, the art is very clear, and the character designs are pretty good... especially the facial expressions.

I've been liking it, but the chapters are released slow enough that I've started to lose where the series started from. The flashback is great, but I've somewhat lost the connection with the present where the manga started.

Good Viking badass action, especially from his father.

Oh. Planet ES? Ok.. I'll go download it now.

Holy Cow. It's damn good. Why no one noticed this series before?

No one noticed it before because no one listens to me.

When you first posted it I needed to hear only two things to read it, Vikings and that there were more than 5 chapters released. Nothing major really happened until MS released this new batch.

Nobody is still reading this? Vinland Saga is definitely in my top 5...

Chapter 29-39 are out at mangatraders, or you can find them at the link Death13a posted.

Love this series for being one of those few that can be spoiled by reading up on factual history. Oh yeah, and Thorkell's always entertaining to watch.

This is certainly an entertaining story to read. Quite spectacular graphics as well.

Well, finally decided to catch up to the latest 3 volumes...

Don't really know where to start, but I just hope that Thorfinn gets a bit more of character development; he really does nothing in this series... it's more about Aaskelad so far.

But this Thorkell guy is awesome, especially when he throws a lance from about a mile a while.

I'm still not buying this Prince Canute; I think he'll end up being a princess... Thorfinn calls him as such.

As always, the art is great.

In 95% of the frames he has looked like a girl. If you look like a girl in 19 out of 20 times, you are a giant trap. Maybe the author really wanted to have a princess in the story but because he couldn't, he decided to have a prince that looks like a princess...

Still reading. Also agree that it's still good, but with release dates so random and spread out it's easy to forget about the details in the story...

Yeah, it's a jolly good story but it does suffer from the irregular release schedule.

    Vinland Saga c49 by Binktopia
    Vinland Saga c50 by Binktopia
Vinland Saga c51-52 by Hox (go to the Vinland Saga folder)
Hox, who recently released a number of chapters from Historie, scanlated a couple of Vinland Saga chapters. Perhaps there's a chance for more releases soon... the story is still going strong.

Following Historie as well and it really good, get first volumes at mangatrades. Both are very good and Hox does a really good job on scanlations.

Chapter 52 has really awesome twist, i wonder what will happen to Askeladd?
