This arc has officially gone from "pretty good" to "awsome".
Badguys, being defeated by strategy instead of Rasengan, MORE cool new powers(I mean, the ninja shark was awsome enough, but the magnetic dude? That rocks!) Plus I really detest the princess! Which is amazing that a filler character inspires any emotion at all!
Naruto being swung around by his forehead protector is an instant classic I say.
I have to agree. I don't even remember when I last time really enjoyed watching a filler episode, but I did enjoy watching this. And the arc as a whole seems to be holding together truly surprisingly well.
The strategy wasn't something I expected, based on so many filler arc before, but there it came nonetheless. The bad guy was a bit too stupefied, but such things can be forgiven. And Like DE said, the magnetic guy is a cool idea, and the execution so far hasn't been bad. And based on the preview, he will also stay badass.
The princess is annoying and would desperately need a bitch slap - too bad it was Hinata that was with her; you can't really imagine Hinata slapping anybody, not to mention a princess. Still, that was all truthful to Hinata's character, so it's not bad. As well as the princess; her character seems to stay consistent. Incidentally the princess also offered one of the funniest scenes of the episode:
"I'll definitely survive!" And then next moment the cliff edge crumbles and she falls down out of sight...
omfg
Ninja shark? Yeah, a little stupid, and watching them getting chased through a forest by piranhas was bizarre, but I still liked the fight with the water guy, especially how it didn't rely on stupid Rasengan. Didn't someone say last episode discussion that Chouji would probably save the day by eating all the fish/drinking the water or something like that? A silly strategy, but strategy nonetheless.
"Hurry up and save the princess!" Anyone get Mario Brothers flashbacks at that line?
Naruto running and pumping his arms? Actually not using the fairy ninja running style anymore i see
Hinata getting pwned was the best part, no doubt about it. I love that the princess had no hesitation on ditching her once she learned of her affection for Naruto. Naruto's reaction was like spitting on the wound too. You know it's bad when Naruto of all people criticizes you for not acting like a ninja.
Wait, never mind, Naruto getting swung around by his forehead protector was the best part, no doubt about it. But why reveal your technique? It's not like Naruto's smart enough to figure it out most of the time on his own. ("It's like, every time there's something metal he can direct his weapon at it or change the direction of the metal object. What is that all aboutbayo?")
Chouji's fatass can hide his chakra even from hinata's byakugan? I smell plot device.
And... shock and amazement... the next episode looks like it will be even better.
Humans are different from animals. We must die for a reason. Now is the time for us to regulate ourselves and reclaim our dignity. The one who holds endless potential and displays his strength and kindness to the world. Only mankind has God, a power that allows us to go above and beyond what we are now, a God that we call "possibility".
Well, that's hard to judge now, but still two things need to be remembered: Naruto, Chouji, the flower ninja, and the water ninja run for quite a distance during the fight, and you could assume they didn't run to the same direction Hinata was escaping with the hime-sama. And that of course was the other thing: Hinata and the princess were running somewhere. So, all in all, there could be several kilometers between Hinata and Chouji. Enough to make the byakugan useless.Originally Posted by masamuneehs

haha the shark was awsome! this was indeed another great filler episode and for a strange reason i wish the princess died in that fall...
Best part was watching the princess ( a fucking princess! ) lecture Hinata about ninja ethics and then hitting her in the back of her head with a stone. And yeah, having Naruto out of all people tell her it wasn't very ninja-like... well.
... Can you say OWNED?

/ No, you warrant no villain's exposition from me.
Heh heh. Nice detail with the stone, as well!Originally Posted by Nai

I was being ironic (do you get the iron-y of it all ). To be able to move stones so big they need to have a LOT of steel (this is the source for steel having stone and not the opposite, the steel percentage needs to be high to get magnetic properties). Just for you to know what we know as "steel" is not composed of 100% steel.
I know real world physics dont aply in naruto I just was trying to make a bad joke.
And on a side note money can posses you easily.
For some reasons, I believe that the third brother will have electricity user ninja. I mean, if the first one is a water user and the second one a magnetic, why not the third brother be electricity.
And the princess, arghhh i hate her. such a selfish person.
Of course it is. Just like a human is composed of 100% human. Or a sausage is 100% sausage. Steel, however, is not 100% iron. Steel, as such, is not an element but a compound of iron and an amount of carbon falling within a specific range. If you add yet another element(s) to the mix, you get varieties of steel, like stainless steel (if you add Chromium), etc.Originally Posted by Edort4
I hope not... Didn't we already have one such dude? Raiga, or whatever was his name, in the curry of death arc.Originally Posted by gr3atfull
