A cloaked man jumped around the woods in Fire Country. His face was hidden
by a white ANBU mask. Approaching Konoha he stopped. He removed his mask,
revealing the missing-nin Kabuto.

I can't believe Orochimaru-sama
ordered me this.
Go to Hyuuga manor, and retrieve a
red scroll.
Hyuuga manor? Red scroll? There must be
tons of them!
Not with Hyuuga Hana, Hiashi's late
wife's mark.
What is he planning?

Placing his mask, Kabuto jumped towards the south wall. As a spy he found a
breach in the wall, near Grounds 9, where Kunoichis trained as children.Kabuto walked through the busy streets. As civilians avoided ANBU, he was left alone. He smirked when he saw Naruto being pummeled by Sakura, while other genins watched. Jumping away he missed a dog's whine.He entered Hyuuga Manor and used a sleep jutsu on the guards. His sources said Hiashi was out of town. Moving around he found his target.Hyuuga Hanabi was training alone. Her moves were graceful, unlike her Hinata's. Noticing the hour she stopped. In half hour she had to train with Neji. Her father had ordered her so, she reluctantly agreed. She didn't hate Neji, but he still was a branch member. Prodigy or not, she was superior to him. Stepping out she saw several fallen Hyuugas on the grounds. "Byakugan," she checked for vital signs. They were alive, but why were they unconscious?

A sleep jutsu was used. An
intruder?
She jumped on the roof and scanned around.
Someone is in Mother's room?
Hanabi saw the intruder messing it up.
How dare he!?
She dashed inside. Enraged by his actions, she didn't stop to analyze the
level of the enemy, as she should have according to her training.
Where is that damn scroll?
Annoyed, Kabuto checked the last possible place, under the bed's couch.
Found it! What a strange place to hide it… What's so special about this?

He stopped before opening the scroll. Sensing a faint pulse of chakra, he
back jumped to evade a palm. Landing he saw a small girl glaring at him.

How dare you mess Mother's room!
Must be Hiashi's youngest.
ANBU business.
ANBU? I don't believe you. If the ANBU
needed anything you would've come when father was home. Plus you put the
guards to sleep.
She isn't naive as I expected. Too
bad, I'll dispose of her.
He charged. Hanabi, unprepared, was kicked through a window. With grace
known only to Hyuugas, she landed on her feet, and immediately jumped
towards the intruder.
BYAKUGAN!
Hanabi attacked, yet her moves were evaded by the older nin. Kabuto was
impressed. Even if the girl wasn't hitting him, she wasn't leaving openings
either. He smirked finally seeing one, and went for it.

Kabuto suddenly flinched. The girl managed to hit him. He saw her smirking
and understood he had fallen into a trap.

She purposely left an opening! I
underestimated her… no wonder the Hyuuga's want to name her heiress… it
won't happen again.

The medic-nin started healing his right arm with chakra. The girl's blow
wasn't fatal, but it burned like hell.

Damn Hyuugas and their Jyuken.
What? The damage I did to his chakra
flow is recovering…
I must praise you girl. You got me. But
this ends now.

He charged towards Hanabi who twirled in her feet, letting him pass. Taking
her chance, she jumped, and did a reversed roundhouse kick towards his head.
Expecting the blow, he caught her by the ankle. Still in the air, Hanabi
kicked again, with her free leg, towards the man's face. Expecting the move,
he caught her other leg, with his other arm, but was unable to evade what
came next. Hanabi, upside down, used her Jyuken in his stomach, freeing
herself.


Hanabi smirked as she landed. Some blood could be seen in the man's mouth.

Don't underestimate Hyuugas. We are
superior.
She definitely has the Main Family's
ego.

He laughed and healed again. Hanabi almost growled.

What are you laughing at? Even if you
heal, I'll get you again.
Is that so? Too bad your ego clouds you.

Angered, Hanabi tried to run towards the man, but fell on her face. With
tears in her eyes she tried to stand up.

Why can't I move?
I've severed your leg's nerves.

Her eyes widened. He did that when he had caught her. She couldn't stand.

Give up. Unless you're a skilled
medical-nin you won't be able to move for hours, but you won't live that
long.

Kabuto approached to kill. For an academy student, she had potential. Left
alive she could grow up to be a fearsome opponent. Midway he jumped away,
sensing an offending chakra.

GATSUUGA!

Damn it! When did he arrive?

Kabuto cursed as his shoulder was pierced by a kunai. During his jump he was
showered with dozens of them and one hitted. Lifting his gaze he saw Tenten.

Hanabi! Are you okay??
One-san…

Hanabi glanced at Hinata, who held her. In front of her stood Neji, with his
Byakugan activated. To his left was Tenten. Behind the intruder were Kiba
and Akamaru. And entering the grounds, where the idiot Naruto, and Tsunade's
apprentice, Sakura.

Who are you?

The man planned in silence, as he was outnumbered.

I knew I recognized the smell Akamaru
found. You're the ANBU that healed Hinata at the Chuunin Exam. Now that you
are here I recognize your smell… Kabuto.

Kabuto!!
Kabuto-san?

Kabuto removed his mask. Hinata and Tenten gasped noticing his Sound
Hitai-ate.
Its been a while. Naruto-kun?
That Hitai-ate…
You didn't know? Kabuto works for
Orochimaru…
WHERE'S SASUKE!!
Loud as always…

Naruto ran towards Kabuto who captured threw him towards Sakura. Both landed
hard. Kiba jumped towards Kabuto, who kicked him away. The sound-nin,
expecting Tenten's attack, managed to evade her weapons, and casted a
poisonous gas jutsu. Tenten jumped away, covering her mouth and nose.
Kabuto's smirk faded away.

You're in the range of my divination…
HAKKE ROKUJUU YONSHOU!



Neji's 64 point strikes connected, and merciless, closed Kabuto's tenketsu.
Hanabi watched wide-eyed. She knew Neji was good, but seeing him on a real
fight was impressive.

Tell me why you're here.
Neji-san… he took a scroll from Mother's
room.
I see… then I'll recover it Hanabi-sama.
Will you?

Kabuto stabbed Neji with his chakra scalpel and kicked him towards Tenten.

No way…
You damn Hyuuga's are so full of
yourselves. You didn't think I would come unprepared ? Before entering
Konoha I made sure to protect my Tenketsus with chakra. Although the
protections barely held. Time to flee.

Kabuto jumped away, taking advantage of the situation.

Akamaru! Let's go!

Neji berated himself for lowering his guard. He sat, while Tenten checked
his shoulder.
He got away… with Mother's scroll…
I wonder why he wanted it…
You've seen it?

Hinata explained. Hanabi was confused. Why had he taken it? Even so… she was
annoyed that something of her mother had been stolen.

What happened to Naruto and Sakura
anyway?

Sakura regained consciousness. Something hit her hard. Without opening her
eyes she felt an unfamiliar touch… Opening them she noticing Naruto's lips
on hers. Angered beyond comprehension she punched him away.

NARUTO YOU PERVERT BAKA! HOW DARE YOU
KISS ME!

Hinata faints, Tenten smirked and Neji shakes his head. Later Hanabi heard
Kiba had lost track of Kabuto.

Orochimaru-sama, I've returned with the
scroll.
Excellent! Now I can make the Hyuuga's
secret shampoo!
Shampoo?
Yes! I can have my hair shinny again! Itachi took my copy before I left Akatsuki.
I went through all of that… for this?
