yes neji is in
yes neji is in
Is he awesome?
Correction: Does he do anything awesome?
(he is always awesome by default)
no idea, since i cant read it, i just watched some part of it
With the exception of one missing apostrophe (in "we're"), all of what you bolded from his post were either typos, or you expecting people to formulate full sentences when in real life they wouldn't (i.e. "Totally forgot"). You on the other hand, have made 3 spelling/grammar mistakes.Originally Posted by Deadfire

Anyway, drop the whole typing thing already.
if someone could translate the text it would be nice... oh and btw... jiraya is there too lol
I have the actual DVD itself with the OAV on it...
The entire point is to pretty much give you tips on where to find the crystals in the game... too bad I thought to watch it after I beat it. Ah well.
Anyway, It's terribly boring, and mostly dumb.
The first OVA is that clover bullshit.
It's balls.
It's Konohamaru filler for christ sake.
Ilabb is absolutely right. This ova by itself is so empty that even Naruto's head would seem filled in comparison. It only consists of lousy fights not really worth seeing and a few stupid jokes we have heard before a dozen times in the series.
Translating this would be waste of time, which is probably why it hasn't been translated into English... Only a real narutard could enjoy this.
That being said, I only watched it till the end because of the subtitles. It was just too funny to see Naruto in Finnish (with all the bad spelling included).
where can i download the english sub of ova 3 ?
I have been into the dark to long
probably nowhere... maybe if one day DB come on this forum to see if there is something new, they will translate it.. but don't get your hope up...
haha.. I once was in that subbing group but just couldn't continue due to having no time at all after my studies in university started. Maybe I will check how they did on this
I must be out of my mind, but I have actually translated a third of this... thing already. With any luck (if you can call getting a translation to an abomination luck) I'll finish it soon, and somehow make it available to anyone stupid enough to want it.
It'll be an srt file, so with any decent player you can overlay the translation on top of the finnish hardsubs.
And that's actually the reason why I'm doing this. I don't understand any more Japanese than any regular anime fanboy, and thus an opportunity to get to know even a little any subbing technique never presented itself. Now, however, I got one freeware program, and found it works alright. Altogether, the subbing process is fairly interesting. And no, I'm not talking about the awesome work the subber groups are doing. Me making softsubs based on finnish subtitles isn't quite the same things as they doing their 1337 stuff.
Bottomline: I don't care if anybody even wants the str when it's finished. I just wanted to know how this stuff happens. And man this ep sucks even more when I'm watching it pausing every so often to write the translation.
Alright. The translation and srt are ready. I'll attached it here as an attachment. Provided the attachment works, it should be available to whoever wants to understand this ova without Finnish skills.
It's decent English, but without any personifications. So, they are just robotic translations with no regard to how the characters would actually talk, for example in DB subs. No way I would have gone through that much trouble...
To play the avi with subs, you need to load them in your player, unless it automatically loads them from the same directory. That being said, unzip the file into the same folder with the avi. The file name, with the exception of the file name extension, might need to be identical (and it should be already) to the avi. MediaPlayer Classic needs to be set in renderless output in order to show subtitles. Pay attention to that, although the player will tell you as much if you try it with wrong settings.
(The srt file name does contain the word "finnish" but that's only because it needs the same file name as the avi. The stuff inside is English.)
If you have any other questions, ask Ciber, Wilik, or the complich8. Har har...
Useing VLC
It just puts the english over the finnish, thus impossible to read. Am i stupid?
Ahh, I was wondering when someone would actually get around to subbing this steaming pile of awesome ridiculousness.
I remember myself being oh-so excited when I got NH3, and it had a bonus DVD, freakin' sweet! I'll admit I had my doubts at first, seeing how the filler material of late and from NH2 is abysmally bad, but after playing through RPG Mode, my mind was set.
I'm not going to touch that disc even with a ten-foot long Rasengan.
Alas, I know that's a slight problem, but at least with my Media Player Classic it was just annoying, not impossible. Well, it's regrettable and bothersome still.Originally Posted by woofcat
There are actually two things you could do in this situation:
1) You could go to your player's settings and try to tweak the options for the subtitles so that it would stand out better, by overriding the placement of the subs to somewhere else on the screen, or by adjusting the font itself. Since I'm not using VLC but MPC, I'm afraid I can't give specific help.
2) You could try to find a video that has no subtitles, and then, if needed, adjust the delay for the subs so that they would once again match the spoken lines. I would think it logical only the beginning of the video could have any difference, and thus the rest should be in sync. Hopefully...
Well i just tuff'ed it out and watched it. Man what a shitty ending. I don't wanna play the game.
I watched it.
The whole thing was of course bullshit, generic Naruto situations (Lee/Gai being gay, Sakura being a bitch who should get shot, Shikamaru being lazy, etc) and a really stupid plot to boot. "A new law" - lol.
There were a few cool things though:
- Naruto & Sasuke's combined attack against Kakashi (Chidori + Rasengan), looked pretty nice. Even nicer was Kakashi subsequently owning them though.
- Neji chasing away Asuma. Neji rules.
- Gaara acting somewhat friendly.
Having played the game it also felt pretty weird to watch it, I was like "oh, so that's why there was a red crystal in a random jar".
Overall it sucked, though.
Thanks to Kraco for going through the trouble of subtitling this!
Edit: Pretty funny by the way how they made the dead characters transparent (there were a LOT of cameos)
