Hmm.... as of right now I'm not sure on my full reply however the event as of right now is going under review. I'm going to think on it with-in two days or so (hopefully) and edit this post.

I just thought that this scavenger hunt might have been more appropriate if the list contained objects/characters/stuff from anime and those would need to be combined with Photoshop to a wholesome scene. Granted, that would require some moderate Photoshop skills, but I'm pretty sure every team must have at least one if not more good (or even excellent) PS users. It's so common a skill nowadays like all the great sigs here have proven time after time.

This way the event would have required innovation, good memory (dunno if that's good or not), much effort for sure and skills, and it would have ended up in stuff with a plot, as much as a single picture can contain a plot, or call it a tought-out scene. Even the "plot" could have been predefined to an extent like in the last events.

Of course this would probably need to be a normal week long even. I doubt anybody could scan for really good images from a good number of animes, much less combine them with quality in PS every day. Normal voting could then have been used to decide the winner.

So, for example the list could be (material (each named object must be from a different anime) and immaterial):
A mountain
Palm trees
A mecha or mechas
Two generic anime chicks
One hero anime girl
One weakling dude
One hero dude
An ugly villain
Tension
Romance
... etc...

Now, I'm not saying this would have necessarily made a great event (I have no experience in designing any kind of events), but it would have suited an anime forum, and been somewhat similar to the last events.

@jadugar: just for the record, it's either ultimatedarkredx1 or redx1. also, if you happen to figure out what my powers are, tell me, because i don't know what it is either.

Well now there will be no room for backstabbing (that is a relief), its a fight to the death with four coffins and preped holes for the weakest. Good luck my fellow competitors. May you enjoy your time together for the time draws near for an entire team to die.

Noone is talking about them? With the kind of objects like an odd looking tree, I think people don't have time to sit idle and talk about them, if they hope to locate even one before the deadline...

Besides, it's hard to talk about them in public to any degree without spilling your secrets.

But I have to say this reform really made the event better (har har, I wonder why...). Too bad it took this long, and so I can't really participate in the most crusial part as I'm leaving for a vacation tomorrow. I wish you had started this a week or two earlier, DF.

Edit: Damn! Took me long enough, but now I finally understood what this is all about, what the neg repping this post was all about. DF wished for conversation, and when I try to open some, a noname - no comment joker comes and neg reps me. Well, at least I learned my lesson: If DF urges people to have conversation, do it only if you want negative reputation. It surely sucks to be the one to bring this to the surface.

Massa, go hide under a rock and don’t come out until this is allover. We don’t need you in here, better still write one of your VA of the month article and make yourself useful. It’s been two months since the last on.

The criticism was directed at the previous task which was put together horribly and not the actual contest ( GWS ) itself.

You aren’t on drugs, are you? Just kidding.

I like the new format of the new task and the possibilities it brings and mysteries that it hides but there isn’t enough time to put the story together and bind all the images together. Unless you want a really short story. Two days aren’t enough and I am working on both days. We will see what happens.

Also so far the captains of the teams really haven’t had any special privileges or powers through this contest. It would be a good idea to throw in some kind of plot device, just a suggestion.

I am still waiting. Its nearly Sunday morning where I am so can I get that order before going to work in a couple of hours so I can have a think while I am at work and do the story when I get back home. Otherwise my team won’t have an entry.
