At least bioalien understand what im saying, if you think that ppl get paid the same amounts for the same jobs in eu and us you are fking crazy:
and for the last goddamn time, the GRAPHICS dont change one bit if its either SD or HD, the only thing that changes is the resolution (720x576 to 1280x720), sure it gets clearer and smoothed out some more, but thats IT, nothing else changes, here are some pics for your obiously blind ass:
Fight Night round 2 in 720x576 ( dimensions may differ a bit since i had to cut it out):

Fight Night round 3 in 720x576 on x360:

Fight Night round 3 in 640x480 ( sry i dont have this one) on xbox:

    NBA street v3 in 720x576 :

    NBA 2k7 in 760x428:

if you didnt get it NON of these screens are in HD, they are ALL in SD, so you better throw that biased opinion of yours out the window, or use that 170$ you will save on a ps3 to buy some new glasses.

oh and one note on buying the 600$/€ console and having to buy games aswell.
the games will cost even MORE then 50-60$/€ ( yes most games are 60€ here ), because every game is printed on a blu-ray disc, and those things are hella expensive, the most expensive dvd's are around 25€ here, while cinderella man on blu-ray costs a whopping 40€, i see 70$/€ prices for ps3 games coming up, in short ps3 IS the most expensive console, especially on the long run:
    ps3+ 5 games + controller = 1000€, x360+hddvd+ 5 games+ controller +livegold = 990€, and thats just to make a FAIR comparison, cheapest the 360 would only be = core + 5 games + mem card = 640€, wait is that only 140 more then the cheapest ps3 WITHOUT games?...........

    Underworld Movie at BestBuy:

    -> Blu-Ray 35dlls
    -> DVD 20dlls

    http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....uct&id=1535538

Yep. BluRay is more expensive. But... so what?
Im still going to get Final Fantasy XIII and other rpg's that will be exclusive to the PS3.

I don't care about the cheapest console, or multiplayers. I go solely (sp?) for the RPG's. And the PS and PS2 where the places to get the good RPGS... SquareEnix, Namco-Bandai, Nipon-Ichi, Level-5, etc etc.
Some of those DO make games for other consoles... but their hits I like were on the PS2 or PSone... Final Fantasy, Star Ocean, Valkyrie Profile, Dark Cloud, Disgaea, Makai Kingdom, Kingdom Hearts, Xenosaga, etc etc etc.

Whatever console is the best for you, you will buy it. And really... I don't care about HDTV unless one is bought at home. And since the Local Tv in Mexico will have a gradual change to HDTV in TEN YEARS... I don't care. I care about the games. Period.

Oh yeah... since the PS3 doesn't have a memory card slot (of the PS and PS2, not memory sticks...) I need to buy a cable to pass savefiles to the PC and then to the PS3... via USB most likely this last one... but I wonder what Im going to do with the supposed "un-copiable" Star Ocean Trophies Save File....

i think the same way you do about the game (rpg and stuff) and ya... the blue ray cost more more money then the normal DVD one (15$ more).

i may also buy a PS3 (even if the price if so hella high, but like i already said, i will wait till the price drop so there will be more game on it too) and for HD TV... that useless.
unless you are a sport fan (i am not) it most be good watching FootBall/Hockey/Baseball etc... on HDTV.

that aside.. do you think it would be good to buy that, for that price(hella cheap considering the size).. there most something bad about it.. what do you think? (because my mom wanted to buy it, since it is cheap, it is a 65" TV and support most video support)

I really don't know much about those kind of TV's... but I believe that one you linked is one of the "big" ones (forgot the term). Which if I'm not mistaking are being cheaper, because the tendendy know if those panel-flat TV's.

I WILL buy a PS3, but not before a big RPG comes out.
Besides... between August and October I want to buy this games:

    - Final Fantasy XII
    - Final Fantasy VII - Dirge of Cerberus
    - Disgaea 2
    - Ar Tonelico
    - .hack//GU
    - Valkyrie Profile 2
    - Rogue Galaxy
    - Xenosaga III

So... I kinda have a lot of games to enjoy on my PS2 before buying PS3. And those titles don't include hack//GU2 and hack//GU3 which still don't have a release date.

Until Final Fantasy XIII or Final Fantasy Versus XIII or another major RPG comes out (hopefully Star Ocean 4....), a PS3 won't arrive to my home.

Well because of my last 4 years at uni I have probably missed out this last generation of consoles, save for me having a PS2. I think the Gamecube was a bit too childish this time, I didn't really get the feeling from it that there was with the N64, with games like Mario64, Ocarina of time and even lylat wars. Perhaps the Wii will offer something new.

You know if I get a job I might just get all three game consoles... they should come to something like a £1000... now playing them would be a mission due to the lack of time.

If I had to choose right now I would just get an XBox360 and a Wii, simply because of the price and I think by the time the PS3 rolls out the 360 will have more titles... thats something that killed the N64 when it was competing against the PSX. This could be a bad sign for Sony...

Heh, you calling it Lylat Wars is a dead giveaway that you're from the UK. I'm hoping that there will be a Star Fox title on the Wii. It would be similar in controls to the Warhawk game that Sony showed off at their conference, just a smoother execution of it.

Right now Nintendo is showing off games like "Wii Sports" but I can't wait until some other 3rd party developers like EB Games get a chance to test out the Wii.

Graphics-wise, pretty much. I'm not gonna deny it - I'm disappointed that the Wii isn't much in terms of graphical improvement. The other stuff is enough to make up for it though. Also, that VG Cats strip is awesome. *saved*

It does have better than the gamecube, just look at some of the shading in hi-res videos of Mario Galaxy to see that its more capable than its counterpart. I mocked up this quick side by side (better ones exist). Both are at 640x480 resolution to make a direct comparison.
    Mario Galaxy vs Mario Sunshine

It's more powerful than the gamecube, approximately 4 of them by earlier estimates. It's no Xbox360 or PS3, but its easy to program for, cheap for all sides (manufacturing, game production, and consumer), and you don't need to buy a new TV to see the real benefit.

Just think how much the graphics improve over time on all the previous gen systems (especially the original PS). The architecture for the Wii is basically the same to the Cube. Instead of floundering about with new hardware, programmers already know how to push the Cube to its limits, and now they've got four of them in one box. They will easily be able to pick it up and max it out.

so i guess no one readed the french link i posted.. lol

oh well.. here a cheap Translation from what was found on the website :

We could notice at the time of this E3 that the games of Nintendo Wii was not very beautiful. And if that proved that Nintendo had used of GameCube?

Several Internet sites gave a report on a quite curious news. Indeed, it would be of GameCube which would have been used to make the demonstrations of the famous gyroscopic controller of the future console new generation of Nintendo. Everything started from the presence of a GameCube on the estrade of the theatre during the conference of Nintendo. The rumors then broke and, to slow down this avalanche of assumptions, Nintendo took the trouble to emit an official statement. "Yes, there realy was a GameCube on the estrade, but this one contained components of Wii." It act as a prototype designed for the E3.

Nintendo, by the voice of Matt Atwood, also indicated that many games presented at the E3 did not reflect the true power of the machine. We will have to wait before knowing more about what the console has to offer. The technical specifications are perhaps not final.

That a curious strategy of Nintendo which, for the moment, set much more on the new experience of play. When we look at the conference again, we can clearly see that it is the controller which holds the top of the poster. The console seems to be put at the second plan since Nintendo communicates almost nothing on the components of its console.

"and here there is a picture of the nintendo gamecube on the stage*

I fear that adding Snake in SSBB will spell the end for the franchise:
