A good question. As he seems to be mainly just a person who's referred to in his absence, I don't know if he's ever going to get any significant role. On the other hand, there's still the latter half of the series left, so who knows.

Mendoi has been silent for quite a while, but here's the explanation:

As some of you might know, the main reason we haven't been active lately, is because Kaen, our leader, has decided to leave us :/.
Kaen ( Mendoi founder, translator, timer, typesetter, encoder ) stole the group funds while I was away, and escaped to Mexico, where he was last spotted on the beaches of Cancun. He left a note saying that he needed the money to build himself a space ship. This was no surprise for us, considering the fact that all of us at Mendoi were saving up our donations so we could build ourselves a space ship.
Well, that being said, the next Inukami episode has been released and in cooperation with Shinsen!

    Episode 14 - Mendoi-Shinsen

Episode 14 was a very nice and quite peaceful one, and filled with much more romance and love than the regular episodes of this show, where the male lead is a pervert and the female lead is a tsundere.

But let's see what the next episode has to offer:
    Episode 15 - Mendoi-Shinsen

Edit: A pretty funny episode, although with an extremely uber traditional storyline. Still, I don't mind the greater plot slowly tries to kindle a romance between Keita and Youko.

It looks like I'm the only friend Keita & Youko have around here, but nonetheless, here's the next episode:

    Episode 16 - Mendoi-Shinsen

No, I've been watching it. Just haven't been in the mood to post,

Tsk, tsk, obviously, you've yet to take notice of my latest avatar (the series' shinigami do appeal to me quite a bit).

Anyway, thanks for the linky, this series has thus been another great random find of mine~

Mendoi (and their savior Shinsen) performed a tactical surprise attack and released the next ep of this canine show:

    Episode 17 - Mendoi-Shinsen

Had I the power to bend reality, it can be said, for certain, that one of my pastimes would be trapping straight men in nightmarish, homosexual hells that are gay beyond all mortal reckoning.

Yeah, I'm still not sure whether to take this show seriously, or not.

Aye. I had the same problem with this episode. It was so far beyond the line that I didn't anymore know what to think of it. But I don't want to see gay macho men for a long time again...

I pray for the absence of gay macho men...

    Episode 18 - Mendoi-Shinsen

That's funny, since the ending sequence for this particular episode is probably the most horrific, yet laughable, thing this show has offered thus far.

This show has lost what little coherency it had before and is only consistent in sinking further into depravity (can't wait for the grand finale).

I fully agree. If the quality curve of this show was an actual slope, I would never dare go anywhere near it with my bicycle. No matter how good brakes, they wouldn't be good enough.

    qualiwhat?

.... from the next ep preview: "Now even I have absolutely no idea whatsoever where this anime is going!" ...

    I can't disagree.

That ending was hilarious though ... Kraco almost got his wish , but then ... dashed.

Yeah. I haven't yet accumulated enough courage to download and watch those... There's only so much macho gay men exposure you can bear before taking permanent damage.

What I find absolutely fascinating is that the macho men in spandex seem to be the anime's exclusive to "spice" the material presented in the manga (from what I've read of it).

Cool! Inukami movie, definitely worth watching. Loved this one to the end, and received major brain damage from seeing too much naked macho men in doing so.

    Peace.

Alright finally watched the final 13 episodes of the series, and I have to say that I really liked the final 4 or so episodes. It was non-stop action, and I thought the "final boss" was a good one.

Any of you guys heard anything about the movie? Did it come out yet in Japan?

In any case, here's a torrent for the whole series, DVD source:
