Just watched TV Nihon's sub of Zeta II and im a bit bothered of what does the word yatsu mean. TV Nihon is not kind enough to put some semi-english equivalent of that word.

well my dictionary says it's slang for , he or she.
it's slang for "person" or "guy", can be "he" or "she", but it is VERY disrespectful, don't ever use it to an elder or you will be frowned upon. =)
