Oh and btw it sure was an amazing plot twist that the Star village leader turned out to be a badguy. I mean seriously who saw that coming? Ever? So unpredictable!

the star village fillers were so bad, I didn't watch whole episode, just skipped parts..
Well at least the new opening kicks serious amounts of ass. Possibly the best Naruto song yet.
Lol. That actually made me laugh.Originally Posted by Terracosmo
I liked the episode. Sure, it isn't as good as the main storyline/non-filler ones, but it was pretty good. Certainly a step up from last week's, which made me go practically insane in irritation due to the art quality switches.
I actually liked the lullaby Sumaru was singing. Doesn't come close to Sadness and Sorrow as that is still the best song. Actually, has sadness and sorrow been used in the fillers? Perhaps the arcs are never long enough to use it.
Anyhoo, overall not a bad episode. Predictable, but it is a filler so my expectations were not that high to begin with. The barrel shadowing technique was funny.
to me the lulaby was a lilttle retarded because the character is a no body and its just a filler i feel you cant feel the sentiment of the characters feelings since he is only gonna be in 3-5 episodes at most unless the fillers end lol for a lulaby showing a characters feeling and the mothers & fathers death being shown like that it would fit better with a main character so the viewer can get an attachment to the character well thats atleast my feeling on it it felt like "Dude who cares" when i saw what he was feeling and the song he sang lol

i liked this episode... yeah, i know, doesn't make any logical sense to me either...
While I can see why Sumaru's angsty, emo character is disliked, I like his attitude and his character (to me) is one of the more enduring filler characters yet. But, like Kraco mentioned on the 1st page, his lullaby and his tragic past come across rathr weak because he's just another filler character and he just got introduced...
the lullaby was a pretty good track. It's placement in this arc was rather awful though... and i'm sure they'll bring it back for some wistful, sad occassion towards the end.
Obviously the current Hoshikage is the real bad guy and the one who stole the star is just trying to keep the villagers from dying during training. I sure as hell hope it isn't Sumaru's father or mother or whatever, but it probably is...
plot was just as weak as ever.
Tenten was great in this episode and Lee was funny in the barrel sneaking part.
How fucking generic are the Hoshikage and his two cronies?
Humans are different from animals. We must die for a reason. Now is the time for us to regulate ourselves and reclaim our dignity. The one who holds endless potential and displays his strength and kindness to the world. Only mankind has God, a power that allows us to go above and beyond what we are now, a God that we call "possibility".
