I find this serie pretty good because of those I currently watch it has a main character that isn't afraid to actually kill his enemies. Whish is nice for a change. Can be a tad boring somethimes due to way to much talking when fighting. I'd rate it as 7/10.
Too much talk during fights is a real shounen show characteristic. I guess you get used to it after watching n shounen shows... I suppose it's a way to save money as talking isn't expensive to animate, and on the other hand it could be a (little questionable) way of advancing the story.
Man, I'm missing the wind. I don't know what the old geezer exactly wants Zed to do, but I'm just wishing before each and every episode that Zed would again climb to some high place to find the wind anew. And then do what he wants to do and not concern himself what all those lazy old idiots in the town want him to do yet are at the same time unable to get out of their mouths.
The old geezer said one good thing in this ep: That Roia is fine because she has found her own place. I wonder how long it will take for Zed to achieve that; only then could he become a real badass and a worthy opponent to the innumerable villains in this series.
The next ep was released pretty quickly. Jolly good.
Episode 41 - Kyuu
I dont really consider fighting in this series fighting at all. Its either too predictable or too unpredictable. Spirits are like huge pokemon, and whats worst, you dont even need strategy to use them. Amil Gaul just slashes, something dies, swordslash, does or does not continue to kill, end of fight. This is the summary of basically most of the fights in the series.
Ive said way before at the beginning of this thread, but I really hate Zed. I just find nothing likeable about him. Storytelling is also too rushed and kind of choppy, and chemistry between the characters just suck. I might be biased because I actually like good anime, and this fails miserably compared to others.

I enjoy this anime. This is one of the few anime I actually do enjoy watching beyond 26 episodes. I hope they keep making more episodes.
I realized that one of the reasons I dont like Kiba is probably because it wasted so much potential. I remember after seeing the first few episodes of this and really expecting a lot, and maybe that is why I am really strict in evaluating it now that it has turned into something... well, crappy.
Still, liking it or not is of course dependent on the person, and I have to admit that I also like some anime that people might consider as not so good. I just hope that they make the remaining episodes better. Story in itself is fine, but they just have to check for consistency and improve dialogue. (oh god please improve dialogue)
Whatever I say, I am still watching it, but then again I never criticize anything without watching almost all of it, because even the ending alone can change ones opinion. My final judgement on this series is still yet to come.

It is probably the first time when I felt absolutely nothing when I watch a show with a mom trying to kill his son.
The scriptwriter for Kiba is in a sense amazing.

Yeah. I hope they will get rid of the mom quickly. Perhaps she will redeem herself by jumping between some deadly strike and Zed. That would certainly be cliched, but whatever, as long as she disappears. She's ridiculous with those life sucking tentacles, and as long as she just keeps terrorizing the countryside like some Jabberwocky, the story can't move on.
And what's the deal with the prison? The dude can summon the most powerful key spirit, but he can't get out of a prison without the help of a healer girl?
Maybe there is some kind of mechanisme which block the ability to summon the spirit.
Let's see how much more love is lost between Zed and his mom...

I dont think there is such a mechanism, judging from how the spirit system works. Its an internal thing, and has little to do with external influences, so I doubt an external barrier would work. Im guessing he is just afraid of crushing himself underneath the mess summoning amil gaul in such a small place would cause.

The cell had just metal bar windows. He could have easily thrown the shard out of the window causing Amil Gaul or Rambos (either would have sufficed) to spawn outside and break the wall to make a way out.
Wtf does post count have to do with Kiba? Enlighten me, please!
