it's not exactly the most original of plots, but this show has potential. it intrigues me enough that i'll probably watch it unless (until?) it goes downhill.

Man, for a show with such a good OP... I can't believe I hated the first episode so much! I'm hoping that this starts getting better fast, because from the OP it looks like it certainly has butt loads of potential
hmm that battle was pretty nice. decent music, pretty decent quality animation and i love the style of fighting. the 'if i win I get your spirit' can either be good, or it can suck...
Zed vs. Noah somewhere down the line... I see they're going to milk the 'we were childhood friends but now we're enemies!' card.
...that piano theme is craptastic. some bonerific parts, then some absolutely horrible segments that seem to come from the defiled corpse of SNES crap RPGs...
kid runs away from the cops, crosses swords with the police, charges the Shard Champion (starting the fight) and says, "I didn't do anything wrong." And the old men are like "No, you didn't do anything wrong." Then they bust him out of his cell and give him a weapon.
WHAT THE FUCK?
Just tell the cops you're from out of town and under Jiko's care.
Don't attack a cop in a land you know nothing about.
Even if you didn't do anything before, starting a fight is something wrong!
And now you're going to break out of jail?
This show has some of the stupidest lack of morals and rationale I've seen in a long time...
And guards, for the love of god if you put them in prison at least take away their Spirits!
Last fight was okay, crap music and not nearly as good as the first tho. Who didn't see that whole thing coming with Zed's spirit popping out just in time to save him?
Reaction: Some nice animation, but it's not enough to save this show. Cliches coming out the asscrack, cookie-cutter characters, shitty music (that one exotic track and the OP are the only good ones I've heard), and worst of all, the writing. Now I'm not sure if it's just Kyuu's crappy subbing job that makes the dialog and lines almost impossible to endure, but this entire show just seems to have crappy writing.
I'm dropping out on this one for a while. If i ever find myself bored to tears and curious i'll try the next episode from some different group and see if it gets any better. Right now this thing reeks of lower than mediocre shittiness.

Fair bit of action in this one again, not too much revealed, other than showing off Dumas (The Champion)'s power, and by end reckon Zed is interested in becoming a 'Shard Caster'.
Seems as if there is fair bit of politics in this, so should proove to be interesting how things start to pan out, this is lot better than I was expecting.
I liked how Dumas killed people that he helped without even blinking when he fought.
The plot and execution of this series is horrible, and the character development and how they are portrayed are horrible also. The only thing that keeps me watching is the animation, and the hope that we'll see some fairly good fights in the future.

Watched it, didn't like it.
Bleh glad that I'm not alone. 5&6 were better since it focused around Noah. But the main character spoils it for me - His random angry behavior to kill things is not very exciting.
The first 4 eps with Zed and Tempura was so so but after seeing Neotopia and Noah it looks interesting. Plus i like how Zed's spirit fights.
I only hope they dont go for "childhood friend but now enemies thingy"
Now i wanna know more about Tempura,Neoptopia and the country that keeps attacking Tempura, Jimoto something.
The story and the characters arent the most original i have seen but the two eps about Noah,Neoptopia,Lato,this desert clan made it more interesting.
I just watched the first 10 eps in the last 2days cause I'm really enjoying this show. I couldn't help but laugh at the strike force in ep 10 cause they were destroyed before they even took 10steps in enemy territory. If their 3rd member had shown up it would've seriously been overkill. And I'm wondering whats the deal with Noa.

Well, it has become much more interesting lately, but I still cant get over how dull a character Zed is. He is like, empty. He tries to be the aggressive and cool character at the same time (like mixing Naruto and Sasuke, which I believe to be impossible since they would cancel each others personality out). All he does is frown, and hardly says anything interesting. I dont really get why Roia even tried stopping him.

i just watched up to 13 in one hit, lol that was fun...but yeah i'm just loving how dumas turned into this unstable nut cracker here in jimoto..lol i thought there was something wrong with him earlier how he cut up those people that he saved when they started invading..

i'm kinda curious about noa though, the fella seems interesting..like when the first town burnt down, was that like his doing? or did he just cut the soldiers up? =s he doens't look like he's a shard caster though...and whats with the box that reacts with him...=/
what about that last king of jimoto? is that really how he feels? liek about how just because he beat me he should suceed the country?? sounds like that guys been tampered wiht or something...
and oh man...poor princess...no one likes her, she got played twice by hughes, her only friend carked it, she watched her dad die...twice and hughes simply cast her aside once he obtained the shard...didn't bother killing her...i mean, c'mon have mercy on the poor thing!

The thing inside of the chest turned out to be what I thought it would and that is an uber summon. But if Noa didn't have it origionally how did he destroy the last town. Noa story is so much better then Zed and that darn pokemon he's been using.

When I first started this show I thought Roia would be a cool character and Rebecca would be a princess that annoys me. Boy was I wrong I want Roia to die already, I seriously don't get why she wanted to help Rebecca if she doesnt want to fight. Rebecca's new personality is cool though, she's finally showing that Jimoto blood.

Rebecca's mircelless killing is good trade and i like how Zed isn't "I save everyone and not need to kill" person. Roia NEEDS to DIE asap!!!
As for Noa i am not sure how to react as what his role is and he gets too little attention so time will tell.
I forgot all about the person that attacked Zed in the beginning, what was the deal with him I origionally thought the world would be split into those that could be shard casters and those that were mutants that hated them. We haven't seen anyone that hates shard casters since switching worlds.

Interesting turn in this episode - finally a character which possibly shows some promise (although with this series, they'll more than likely 'fix' her, or make her good again).
Fairly plausable turn of events, and nice to see them develop at least one character slightly - what did interest me was Hugh, he seems to have an idea of that side of Rebecca already?
Expect we'll see flashback within the next couple of episodes explaining this.
I've just watched the first episode, this anime looks pretty promising to me, hopefully they can turn this into another Fate/Stay Night...that will be cool, anyway, just for opinion's sake, which sub group is better? Mishicorp's version or Kyuuketsuki's version? In terms of video quality?
I thought for subbing wise, they are pretty much the same, as i know some jap, i think they translated rather accurately. And i can confirm that it should be Shard Caster instead of Shadow Caster...
I'm pretty curious as to why there is this annoying 30-something number on the top left-hand corner of Kyuuketsuki's version for the first few episodes (browsed through the 1st few secs of other epis as i thought there was an error)
