    One Piece Fansubs

okay, i've decided to start watching one piece, after seeing one episode of the english dub, i thought it was an interesting story, but it seemed like the voices sucked....anyway, i'd like to hear some opinions on the fansubbers for one piece (which is best or fastest etc.) and also, where to find their torrents.

and yes, i did a search but found nothing, so if there is already a thread like this, dont flame me and just post the link.

Dubs are horrible. Get away from them.

If you want to strat from the begining then..

    http://www2.kaizoku-fansubs.com/downloads/index.php

They are the best but they are way behind from the current episode 258. They have only managed 178 so far.

Also Gerusama is pretty good but they are only doing the latest episodes. They started from 219 and are at 255.

    Thats not all

ADC : Recently new fansub. On par with current episodes but not as good as K-F or Gerusama.

Weird, my search function came up with this: Here
Maybe your personal options blocked old threads. I set mine to 'show all threads' to clear this problem up.

We only have discussions up to 178 because those episodes have been properly subbed and are of good quality. Everything after that is basically just a speed sub to get it out. At least, that's what I always thought.

There was this guy over at Arlong Park who converted MP4 releases into AVI. Don't know if he still does it though.

EDIT: found a thread he made in K-F. It looks like he's actually still doing it.

It's already been said, but yeah, Kaizoku Fansubs are probably the overall best. They aren't crazy fast always, but the quality is by far the highest.

well....okay then...if its already been said 2-3 times...why did you say it again?

and for the record, episode 90!

hmm, 11 days now, 90 episodes...am i going too slow?

i have a kind of BT question but it relates to one piece so i'm going to post it here.

if i download 2 of the batches at once, will it affect the speed of each one? or will both go at max speed, and so technically i could just click on all the batches and leave them there for overnight? (thats usually how long it takes to download a batch)

Yeah it does affect the speed as far as I'm concerned.

You should post that in General Support, but

yes, your download speed will be affected. You connection has a limited amount of bandwidth (companies usually limit your upload rate) so having more than one download will affect your upload rate which in turn affects your download rate because of how bittorrent is set up.

Ex: my max upload rate is 40kb/sec, so if I download one torrent and it's uploading at 40kb/sec, my download is probably 60kb/sec.
If i download two torrents at the same priority level, let's say each gets 20kb/sec upload. My download speed for each of them will be lower than 60kb/sec because bittorrent doesnt want me to have a low share ratio.

    @ : ChaosKiddo

Your post reminds of my days when I was watching OP. I just discovered OP and couldnt get enough of it. So around the same point where you are I learned to use irc. I know you know a bit about IRC. Why dont you use it to download OP from K-F channel.

Imagine watching one episode and other being just downloaded by the time you finish watching. I remember watching OP straight for like 8/9 hours until there were no more K-F subbed episodes.

After episode 90, Arabista Arc starts and that’s where the real fun begins…

well...181 to 218 actually. The only available sub you can get for those are the HK ones. But they're the worst fansubs out there.

    @ Chaoskiddo :

The download time will depend on your download speed but it will be way better than BT. i promise.

How to use Irc guide by K-F

    @ Lucifus :

I would say make a jump. Watch K-F and Gerusam at the same time. Its fun. You wont be spoiled but watch all of the K-F subbed episodes first and then start at 220. Gerusama are pretty decent fansub.

Not only are the not crazy fast though, they are intentionally as far behind as they are.

The reason is because they only sub the japanese DVD releases. And then they sub them at a rate so as to ensure the next DVD set comes out before they finish the current one.

So they could catch up if they wanted, but they don't by personal choice.

    Wtf is rep?

Ah, I never knew they only did their subbing with the Japanese DVD.
Rep System. Its the new rating system, except you rate people by individual posts instead of only once ever.
