Naruto Subs - iPod Video... ???

I was wondering... does anyone here have an iPod video... and have they tried putting Naruto (with subs) on it? If so, or if you have both things and have the time to try... are the subs legible enough to be able to enjoy watching it on the iPod video?

On a side note... This is the first time I was unsure about posting in the right forums, :-S... Sorry if I did...

Naruto Subs - iPod Video... ???

I have a video Ipod but I seem to be having problems uploading to it. Uploading music to it is absolutely no problem, but when I try to upload my naruto files to it nothing happens. I "add file" to my iTunes and nothing happens, and I do not find the video file I tried to upload in my iTunes library. And since I can't upload the video file to iTunes, I can't update my iPod with the video file.
This is not only happening with my naruto files, but any other video file I try just does not upload to iTunes. And I think what it is is that iTunes seems to be configured to accept only quicktime file types. I can see this being the case because when you install iTunes it comes with quicktime. So right now I have only 2 videos on my iPod. One which was originally a quicktime file and another that I changed its file type to .mov (for quicktime)
Any other file type like mpeg doesnt upload to my iTunes, and that is the file type that my naruto episodes are in. Even when I try to change the file type to .mov and upload it, it doesnt work.
The one video I changed to .mov and was able to upload to my iPod doesn't have sound when I try to play it in the iPod.
I havent really tried to solve the problem as yet but maybe someone else on here has and can share the solution.

You do realize Naruto (subbed) is almost always in .avi format? It needs to be in mp4 or some other format (h something, can't remember off the top of my head) made especially for the iPod. Just grab a copy of Videora iPod Converter - it converts many video and music files into mp4, which is, as stated, a usable iPod format.

Naruto Subs - iPod Video... ???

Anyways... I was hoping someone would be able to tell me if Naruto transfered onto the iPod video is nice enough to watch with the subs (as in, the subs are legible and easy to read).

I have not uploaded a full ep yet, but I did upload the second intro with subs.
Looks quite good, and the subs are legible.

if someone is in the prospect of buying an ipod video for anime, you should hold your horses.

    Get a Zen Vision M.

Its basically Creative's version of the Ipod video. I think its better however.

The M has the Xvid/DivX codecs already installed, so you dont have to convert the video file to mp4. Personally, I think the video quality is better than the Ipod video.

Found that online for $329.99 for a 30 GB one. I personally would go with an Archos 4100. Bigger screen, 100 gb. You probably need a video converter either way, and the Archos one is $599.99. I play Naruto and Bleach on it, and it works just fine. Also, comes with tv cables that allow you to record from ur tv and play files back on the tv. Either way, a cracked AVS converter converts just about from and to any video type you need.
Edit: Amazon was where I got the prices for both, though you can probably find it cheaper elsewhere. I forget the website I got mine at, but it was cheaper than that. Reviews there too Archos 4100
