I actually think it's the inner hollow thats using Bankai rather than Ichigo himself. Perhaps the black clothes he gets whilst in Bankai is the inner hollows and not really that weird swordman. Just a theory.

Ichigo is so freaking dumb. Why does he have so much confidence in himself to think that he can beat all of them and make them help him when he have a hard time beating just 1 of them.

Well, no one really credits Ichigo with a brain when fighting, anyway... Just like Kenpachi, except he's got the power and experience to back up his confidence.
