    I was about .... here. So yeah, MILLIONS of people. Jumbo-tron was the only way to go on account of being a little more than a mile away from the action, and the audio stream was way desynched. Also, it was like 15 degrees out. And not fruity-euro-degrees either >_<.

    Gotta say though, there's something pretty amazing about standing in sub-freezing weather with like 2 million other well-wishers and revelers and whatnot. And even more amazing to hear half a million people all around you join in in the collective booing of an outgoing president. That's ... definitely something.

    I felt bad for Bush, and the silence followed by scattered applause which accompanied his introduction this morning was all too painful. Still though, that must have been quite an experience. History!

    And now, consider this my official submission for the "Best Wistful Gaze" category in the upcoming Gotwoot Awards. Personally I don't think I stand a chance against Assertn, Nadouku, or Killa-Eyez, but I thought I'd throw it out for consideration:
