@BoC: I don't think they talked about side effects when they mentioned it could make you suicidal. It may be that, though I doubt it. Even with the side effects your skin looks better than it did when it had the acne.
The one side effect that did kinda irritate me was that I had to stop weight training during the treatment. There was a part my chest which felt like collapsing when I would try to do weights, and this didn't sort itself out until a few weeks after treatment as well. So I ended up getting out of shape during the treatment.
@Buffalobiian: Yep, and Roaccutane is a retinoid.
@NM: Don't worry man, if it doesn't work you might as well commit suicide.
Nah but seriously, the course of treatment is either 12-16 weeks, with a possible repeat of treatment for 8 weeks, 8 weeks after the original treatment stopped. The second course is there if there is a relapse. I was sorted out after just 12 weeks and didn't need anymore.
Remember you might get the occasional spot again, but it will no way be like what you had before treatment. Just make sure you use moisturisers on your skin and lips. This treatment is going to block your body from producing natural oil which keeps your skin soft so you will probably need it. Just don't be idiotic and apply the cream on a spot lol.
@Sapphire: Was it worth it? A 100% yes.
