I kinda like that pink beard. I'll take some male hormones and grow one.

But yes, it's purple...maybe I'll go purple sometime to honour Major Motoko.

And chibiusa...had to lol at that.

no don't go for it... don't make your hair all pink it will look like you are a punk...

at least start with a bit less.. you can do more later if you are unhappy with it then, but you can't make it less once its fully pink!

btw isn't the hair-colour of your signature-babe a bite more like red?

    here this
+ a LITTLE bit pink you know what i mean?

    found it on
That pic doesn't show up. o.o; But anyway, I don't want to look punk...but Lightning has pinkish hair and she doesn't look punk. D:

    How about...chocolate brown tinted pink?

Hmm...yeah....so basically when your hair is down, the predominant color is black, but when your hair is up, the predominant color is pink.
I like this idea a lot! It'll be like having 2 different hair-colors...definitely do want.

It would look nice but even after just two weeks your original hair colour, if you don't have black that is, it will look wierd.

yes, purple light doesn't exist, its an extraspectral color, which is a combination of red and blue or violet, violet is a spectral color, thus making purple effectively a shade of violet.

The violet i was reffering to in the picture is actually dark violet or orchid, since normal violet is more blue'ish.

"Spectral color" as in the colors of the rainbow?

Light is simply a range of frequencies in the electromagnetic spectrum. Purple has its own frequency just like every other visible band of light. It's not a mix of one red wave and one blue wave. The idea of mixing different primary colors to produce other colors and shades is different from the idea of generating specific electromagnetic waves. Mixing colors (eg. paint) is about catering to the photoreceptors in your eyes.

So basically what I'm saying in a nutshell is that purple is no more or less of a color than violet.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spectral_color
Every wavelength of light is perceived as a spectral color, in a continuous spectrum

    from your own source:
The spectrum is often divided up into named colors, though any division is somewhat arbitrary: the spectrum is continuous. Traditional colors include: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and violet.

Among some of the colors that are not spectral colors are:

Purple (similarly, magenta), which is a mixture of Blue and red

Actually I can easily tell the difference. Maybe my monitor exaggerates the difference because it can't produce such minute color differences (limited to 16.2 million colors), but these two boxes are clearly different viewed from my monitor. The left box is vibrant while the right box looks a little faded in comparison.

I just did an experiment by opening photoshop, making a box and splitting it roughly half and half with those two colors.

I couldn't detect the edge between them, but when I panned back and forth between them I could tell there was a difference. But I'm also on a rapidly-aging LCD that may or may not have accurate color recreation... so pretty much a "me too" on BoC's post

I had to do a double take to realize that's not what you actually said.

Also I've read that Maddox post before, and I agree there is a difference in the colors, but as a lipstick it's hardly noticeable.

<@Terra> he told me this, "man actually meeting terra is so fucking big", and he started crying. Then he bought me hot dogs

The right one is def. "darker" or "faded" like BoC said for me on my 17 inch monitor ( which is an awesome crt screen), while on my 19 inch its hardly noticeble, which is also crt, but displays blander colors and is somewhat older (i always use the 17 inch for color proofing).

Maybe those who cant see it, are somewhat red-green deficient.
