The intuitive sense is actually really powerful though. Too bad both birdman and retardo apparently suck at using it.
Satori is the only one that was actually GOOD at predicting moves.

Chopper beat one of the mighty priests by himself? Woah! Especially when it took Luffy, Sanji and Usopp to beat Satori, and Enel said Satori was the weakest of them.
Go Chopper!
I think I know precisely what I mean
when I say it's a schpadoinkle day
That's the thing though, I don't see how Satori could possibly be weaker than Gedatsu. I mean, besides what you mentioned before about taking 3 people to beat Satori, there's the fact that Gedatsu said the survival rate for his trial is 50%, but Satori's was only like 10%.
I think Satori is just the newest priest and they just look down on him because of it. I mean, after he lost they were mocking his incomplete training in Mantra, but he's clearly better at it than Gedatsu.
I dont know if survival rate of the ordeal is directly proportional to the skill level of the priest. It seems to me that the four of them just developed ordeals that compliment their fighting styles, and some just happen to be tougher than others. I'm not sure why Gedatsu didn't anticipate his boot being taken off, but like he always says, "he was careless"

I'm wondering if Oda didn't just realize how overpowering the mantra is and decided to downplay it in future fights.
doesn't make then religous at all does it?
