Reason being because, even though it hasn't really been touched in the manga, it was evident that Renji had some sort of resentment and/or unfinished business with Urahara, I assume that it's because of what was done to Rukia or something...

But his introduction in this filler arc doesn't deal with that...
Great, just great. It sounds like they're gonna fuck up every cool character in the series by somehow teaming him/her up with Ichigo. Boy, doesn't that sound all too familiar..
I swear, if we see Kenpachi or someone else come to earth to help/ask for help from Ichigo, its all over.
