I just bought shitty dirt weed. Whenever I go to this guy for the regular stuff I get dirt smelling shit, but whenever I pay more it's pretty good. This happens everytime with him.

    whats the cost/weight?
At cal Mexican ditch weed was usually about $20/quarter oz.
The good shit was usually 45-60/eight.
The ditch weed was never worth it... I feel your pain.
When man invented the bicycle he reached the peak of his attainments. Here was a machine of precision and balance for the convenience of man. And (unlike subsequent inventions for man's convenience) the more he used it, the fitter his body became. Here, for once, was a product of man's brain that was entirely beneficial to those who used it, and of no harm or irritation to others. Progress should have stopped when man invented the bicycle. ~Elizabeth West, Hovel in theHills

Spent 5 hours changing the oil for my truck. The filter was stuck on too tight I couldn't break it loose. Had to make two trips to the store to get filter wrenches but they didn't help because the filter was on so tight. This was my first oil change on this truck so it was stuck from the dealer when they prepped the truck for sale. I ended up jamming a screwdriver through the filter and loosening it that way (thank God for internet searches). In hindsight I should have taken it to the dealer and paid $25 for the oil change instead of wasting 5 hours of my time.

    I fucked up, big time.
I had to turn over a paper few weeks ago, and now I got it back, and it turns out that I basically answered the wrong question (apparently, I wrote too much about tactic surprise rather than strategic surprise).

It's not completely ruined, he said that I can get an extension to fix (not as much as fix as it's to re-do it from scratch, including new sources and reading) my paper, but I'm starting my exam season sunday, so I'm gonna be studying all the time.

    It's a poop shitsuation.

I think America is one of the few countries that has its Summer break from May-August rather than late July-September.

<@Terra> he told me this, "man actually meeting terra is so fucking big", and he started crying. Then he bought me hot dogs

As we are the world leader in everything, I think countries should change their vacation schedules to coordinate with ours better.

Here I go to another job interview, this time at an orthodontist's office.

Job hunting is so fucking painful. I've had 4 interviews this month and no one has called me back.

sure, I have summer vacation, as soon as I'm over with my tests.
today was the last day of first academic year. I have test in Junes, July and mid-August (how do you call the exams you take if you want to get a better grade, or if you missed the first one? a 'do-over' exam? what's the english word for that?).
after I get through with all my exams (I really need to get my shit together, can't screw this up like in higschool), I'm on summer vacation until late October.

when I was still in school, summer vacation was July-August, with bits from June (10 days) and September (the holidays month).

Yea, I feel that. I absolutely need a summer job (and I need to lock something down for Sept. as well) in about a month's time. Darn economy! And at my job now, I got kind of bored and stared adding GW people to my facebook friends. I wonder who will snub me...

I've been watching K-On! before I go to sleep and I keep dreaming that motherfuckers are trying to kill me. It's so vivid and it only happens when I watch that show before bedtime.

I didn't say it made sense. It's frightening. If I don't kill them all they're going to find and torture me. I have never had dreams like this until I started watching this show.

This is my first post in the bitching thread, I think. Normally I try not to bitch, but this has been bumming me out as of late and well, I'm gonna vent here.

I'm 28 years old, just a fact I think might be relevant. Over the last few months, several music artists I greatly admired passed away. Up until recently, I would tend to think "man, I can't wait until the next album from *insert artist/band name here* xD." After the string of deaths I just mentioned, it dawned on me that there won't always be a next album. Eventually, the albums stop coming, permanently, because the artists die. That made me kind of sad. If only it ended there.

This realization that the artists I admire will eventually die, coupled with the fact that they're people, like anyone else. This coupling had the effect of then making me realize that we're all mortal, and we're all going to die. Of course, I always "knew" this, but it seems to have taken on a whole new significance. I'm very deeply aware of this now. All of a sudden, when I look at people, I can't see the vibrant life I used to see. All I see now is life leaving them. I see their weakness and their frailty. I hear the heaviness of their breath, see the limp in their gait, here the cartilage pop when they move into a position they don't normally do.

Now this is bad, because there are people I care for very dearly, and I see those same things in them, and it worries me to no end. Every grit of pain or discomfort, every cough and every wheeze, seems to portend impending doom. Every cold is just waiting to transform into pneumonia, and every minor but unexplained abnormality is a symptom of deadly genetic disorder. Last week, I drove myself into a semi panic just thinking about this stuff. It worries me that everyone, specially those I love, is fragile, and that death can come in so very many ways that really, you just never know when it'll hit.

Hopefully I'll get over this shit soon. Like I said, I'm 28. It's 12 years too early for a fucking midlife crisis...unless I'm to be dead at 56.
