It's no less than they deserve for making my life harder with their poor attitudes. I'm in a bad mood right now, so you'll have to excuse the name calling. And like I said, it's whites and blacks, so it's not like it's racial from my standpoint. I wouldn't be surprised at all if they had issues with taking direction from a yellow guy. In fact, in a few cases I know that was the root cause of their problems.

For God will not permit that we shall know what is to come... those who by some sorcery or by some dream might come to pierce the veil that lies so darkly over all that is before them may serve by just that vision to cause that God should wrench the world from its heading and set it upon another course altogether and then where stands the sorcerer? Where the dreamer and his dream?

It's not the insults that separate higher and lower lifeforms. This is simply the superior beings acknowledging the truth.

No what I meant is that you have no place in a conversation about superior beings.

-Well its isn't whether I hurt your feelings or not its just not something I think I should say.

wow .... descended into the depths, huh?

My bitch for the day: yesterday and today I couldn't get enough sleep because recruiters started calling me at like 7:45 am.

Sure, it's my own fault for going to bed at 5 am, knowing that I'm in demand and all. But still! Effing recruiters... couldn't wait till like 11 at least?

Were they Mormons recruiting you for their religion?

Like most days, I'm happy to report no bitches today. Unfortunately a lot of people think I'm bitching when I'm just bringing up topics for discussion.

That's why I don't even give them my #...I make them email me instead.
Another option is to get up a grandcentral account and just instantly send people to voicemail if you're not available.

Today I sliced my fingertip on the blade of the deli slicer and it hurt like a bitch. That thing is so damned sharp my finger wouldn't stop bleeding. At least I was smart enough to apply pressure to the cut right away and it's closed now but I'm wearing a fresh bandage just in case it re-opens. Hooray for fingertip cuts.

You work at a deli? Pretty cool man. I'd like to work at a deli.

I lost a pair of $60 sunglasses today. Add that to the $80 flashlight I lost a year ago out here, and it kind of sux.

Every time I see that word I think of "fleshlight."

Nope, job recruiters. Apparently someone with exactly my skillset is in an absurd level of demand around here.

However, the first interview I went to this month, I ran into some Mormons at the station while I was on my way home. I was dressed in a suit and tie carrying a backpack, they were dressed in suits and ties carrying a backpack.

Them: "What'd you talk about with them."
Me: "Judging by the suits, nametags, and the fact that you're wandering around in a pair, I suspect the same thing as you want to talk about now."
Them: "Oh... so I guess you're not really interested then?"
    Me: "That's right"
    Them: "Ok. Thanks!"
They were the most understanding missionaries I've ever talked to. I didn't even have to break out my dabblings in Bible scholarship or my extensive repertoire of Zen parables to get them to go away.

Anyway, Tuesday was the only day this week that I didn't have some sort of interview. Wednesday of next week is the first weekday that I don't have an interview scheduled yet. It's ... seriously getting a little out of hand. I think the interview I went to day is very likely going to result in a favorable sounding offer....

Nah, we just have a small deli at my parent's corner store...nothing crazy. I was bandage-free for a little while but then it started opening up again. I think I've gone through 5 bandages today.

I hope you wear gloves when preparing food with that gash. Small business ownership is even better. I worked at a Subway, which sort of counts as a deli. That sucked.

Depends which one and who makes them. I worked with this girl who didn't wear gloves when mixing the fake crab with mayo (by hand, not with a mixing spoon) or when making sandwiches, until it became mandatory. She still mixed the fake crab without gloves. Freaking gross.

    Eww!

... I have an interview at 3 pm today in a place that's 20 minutes away by car, 35 minutes by bus and almost 2 hours by metro. I'm really wishing I had a car about now, but at least there is a bus that's a good option. Not like yesterday...

You don't own a car? Wow, what's that like?

Maybe it's a good sign that the company isn't right for you, since it's so far away. Or is it just that the interview is far away, like at a nice restaurant?

not having a car has been pretty standard for me for a while. I had one for about 6 months in college until it broke down.

I've got roommates and friends that have taken care of transportation needs in the past, and both where I went to college and where I'm living now there's fairly extensive transit systems, so ... it works out ok either way.

But yeah, soon as I've got an offer, I'm going car shopping... there's a lot of lack of freedom when you've gotta pester your friends or roommates to go anywhere. Especially with the current roomies, who're both paranoid about their (relatively cheap, relatively shitty) cars and won't let other people drive them.

The interview today is actually at the site I'd be working. The interview yesterday was 2 and a half hours by train/bus, but is only 25-30 minutes by highway, in traffic.

Interviews... I should probably re-start sending curriculums...
current job pays well... better than what I earned on IT Testing... but Process Implementation kinda gets tedious...
I work in the same company, I just 'switched sides'. I became the 'user' who asks IT to do something...

God... I swear some people here are so damn useless... they use the damn system daily (telephone company) and never fully understand it...

But that is somewhat passable... what I hate the most is working alongside Marketing and Facturation (I am not sure about the word... but I am currently lazy and have a headache to check its the correct one)

I actually miss IT... but not working 4 extra hours daily is a bonus though...

Some guy from IT asked me if I wasn't interested on working with them, on Release Management (they manage what gets installed, and what gets installed on the -real life- server, not the testing ones. But they work almost everyday until 11pm or more... It seems interesting... and a way to learn more of Databases... but heck... they should give me at least 33% raise for me to accept that work... (usually work ends at 7pm)

    Whatever...
