I found goliath to be useless for that mission on hard mode.

I just started massing Marines/Medic/Marauder and took over the middle of the map. You can split your army into 2 to cover more ground and i found that they are much more cost effective than goliaths.

120-130 supplies is probably enough to beat that mission.

My car is fucked up and I can't find a ride to work in the morning. If I can't make it on a Sunday I'll have to call acquisitions all week, which fucks up my quota, which fucks up my percentage, which fucks up my commissions, my raise and my bonus.

As far as my inability to find a ride to work is concerned, do any of you feel like you have done what you could to help a friend when they are inconvenienced, yet when you find yourself in a bind they're nowhere to be found? That's how I feel about most all my friends.

I know of it, have been through it a lot of times. In fact, I'm going through life losing friends one after another. Even ones you thought you had a good bond with have done something that make you look entirely different at them. My bitch on the matter: A couple of weeks ago, on my sisters birthday, I had to find out that one of my "better" friends and her were making out last december. It also seemed they previously had a similar history together! WTF!!?? I sometimes think my idea of friendship is something that only existed in the past and nobody is to be trusted anymore. As a birthday party we went to the movies and I was pretty mad at my sister. She had a big mouth 1 to many times and I flipped. Seriously, the whole room could enjoy the spectacle of me calling her names. Man was I mad. I regret it though. Haven't spoken to her since.

I've always found my friends to be limited to whatever stage/location in life I'm in.

My primary school friends were only friends in primary school.
    Likewise with high school.
Most likely the case with my current friends who are studying the same degree.

I haven't met anybody either who I can tell them 100% about myself.

I have one. I met him in primary school, we're friends to this day. He's the only one who never did something to change our relationship in a negative matter. A almost 20 year friendship. I cherish that. Heck, I cling on to it.

I'd probably have to deal with a lot less cliché drama in my life if I weren't that befriended with other people. My life would look entirely different I think. I don't consider high school friends as actual friends. A lot of puberty going on in that area so I kind of closed the book on that one. But if I'd have to weigh out the negative with the positive I think my friendships are the things that go best in my life. Now that's pitiful. But it's nice to have someone who can be on the same page as you and break it down for ya.

I think it's pretty normal to feel this way. People are inherently selfish, and to have friends who you know will go out of their way to help you whenever you need it is in reality the exception rather than the norm, no matter what movies and tv tell you about friendship. And once someone feels rejected or slighted by a friend, even if it was unintentional, it can turn into this vicious cycle of making the other person suffer until the friendship breaks down completely. I guess the good news is that there ARE people in the world who will be there for you not only when it inconveniences them, but also when you definitely don't deserve it, because they choose to be your friend in more than just name, and not just because of what you do but even despite of what you do. I have some of those people in my life, and it's kind of a humbling thing to have friends like that, but also totally freaking amazing and inspires me to be that kind of a friend to others.

How far do you have to go?
Do you just ride to work and back, or need to drivwe around to work?
I ride my bike t oand from work, 45 mi/day. It's do-able if you are dedicated, have you considered your bike? If you need help with logistics, ask me. Where do you live, and what is your exact situation? I'll try to help and guide you.

On the ride to work with a friend note. I've hd to deal with it too. when I shattered my leg, I couldn't ride (obviously) and couldn't drive (legally). I had a co-worker help me and felt similarly bad. What I did was offer many thanks, and pay for every other gas tank. I think often people are more willing to help than you think, and a lot of it is in your head.

Hit me up for any ideas as to how I can help you.

You know... speaking of hearing aids my friend finally got a pair of them himself. He is finally able to hear birds chirping, and other sounds at that decibel. One thing he noticed himself is he can now hear the car beeping when you put the keys in the ignition. I checked them and they are sleek looking and a lot smaller compared to the sizes they used to be. You can't really see them unless you are standing right near him.

Well, I found out what was wrong. The rear axle broke, and I got it replaced, but my rear rim is all bent out of shape as well. I will need to get a new one, but I have no money :\

And my roommate owes me his half of the $150 for our monthly bills and has managed to dodge paying me for 2 and a half weeks. Add to that, he did not tell me that he was not planning to renew the lease that ends tomorrow until the 10th of the month. I might be royally screwed, plus that $75 would help out big time.

So, 3-4 weeks ago I started watching the Soprano's. I'd seen an episode here and there when it was just coming out but never had HBO @ home w\ the parents, etc.

I never read into all the buzz or lack of buzz about the series ending... but here I am close to the end and... WTF.

    SPOILER ALERT>>>>

In a matter of 2 episodes they turn Tony into a degenerate gambler, and a snitch....wtf?

I'm still a few eps from the end but still, it seems odd that they just all of a sudden throw that out there.

I ordered a wall mount for my flat screen TV, saw it was delivered and left at my front door on UPS online while I was at work this afternoon. For some reason I felt some shit was going to go wrong, and lo and behold, when I get home the package is not there. Checked with UPS, they said they delivered it. Unless they made a mistake, some asshole swiped my box from the front of my house and is now using my wall mount, probably trying to figure out how to mount his 19" tube TV with this kit. I hope the TV falls off the wall and fucking crushes him.

I'm mostly pissed that some asshole (probably a neighbor) stole my shit, and from now on when I order shit I'll have to go pick it up at the fucking UPS/Fedex pickup location.

What's the value of the wallmount?

Yeah, I'm always thinking that this would happen to me one day. For anything that I actually care about, or paid enough for, I always go "sign upon delivery".

They almost always deliver when I'm not there and make me go collect it from the depot, but I'd still reluctantly embrace this inconvenience for security.

I want to stress that the value of the part isn't what upsets me. I almost bought it locally for $150, then I found it online for $65 with free 2-day shipping so I was ecstatic. So for the thief to ruin all of that ecstasy, I would cut off his balls and make him eat them with a light man-juice sauce that I freshly sqoze myself.

I don't think we can specify "sign upon delivery" for all orders here without an additional charge. Plus, like you, they always deliver when I'm away so I'd end up having to go pick it up from the depot. I'm also considering installing a peephole camera to record the goings-on of my front door. I'd rather catch the thief than have to work around his sorry ass.

Back on Monday, August 23rd I mailed off a $260.000 payment to my credit card company in the form of a money order. This payment was received on Friday, August 27th the very same week, but I wasn't credited the the full $260.00. I was only credited $50.00.

I called them up this past Monday to see what the hell was going on with my account and they kept on insisting that the payment was only for $50.00. After going back and forth with the woman on the phone, she finally decided to put me on hold and send me to their accountant.

He gets on the line says the exact same thing, "the payment was in the amount of $50.00." I then proceed to tell him "No, it was for $260.00." He then decides to go and have a look at the actual money order. Well, what do you know.. it says $260.00.

He starts going on and on about how they use machines for the payments and that the machine only picked up $50.00. He then admits that it was their fault and that it will be taken care of soon. I then ask, "How soon is soon?" So, he tells me, "One or two billing cycles."

I had a minimum payment due on September 3rd, in the amount of $70.00. Since they had only credited me $50.00 of the $260.00 that I sent, I still owed $20.00. They ask me if I could make a payment in that amount and I say "No, I already sent you $260.00". I hang up pissed, because I'm going to be charged late fees and such when I have never been late making a payment before in my entire life.

On the night of September 2nd I see this on my account.

So, I'm thinking that everything had been taken care of, until I see this today...

Sigh, now my payment is on hold.

This morning I found out that my room has become home to an infestation of bed bugs. I have never been so horrified and revolted in my life. My roommate and I can't afford exterminators, so we're making do with a vacuum and a steam cleaner. The steam kills the little bastards and then I can vacuum up the carcasses. I pretty much have to pull apart my whole room and decontaminate EVERYTHING. I can't even eat anything because I'm so disgusted with their little blood-gorged bodies and colonies of eggs.

I think I probably picked them up a week ago from a homeless guy. Apparently all it takes is one bug on your clothing to start an infestation. Ugh.... back to steaming and vacuuming.... *shudders*
