    update:

I was sent home, the operation still continues (as you hear in the news), but there was a decrease in the amount of reserves troops which aren't stationed at the relevant zones. and since I'm one of the older people (and not an officer), I was released from the current session. If things go bad I might be called back again, but not likely.

Yeah, your bones are starting to get a bit old for the more intensive tasks. Only folks like Tom Cruise apparently become better soldiers when they grow older, haha. I was like 19-20 years old in the army, and I thought it would have been more pleasant for 15 years old boys. My last refresher was a long time ago, as well. But then again, naturally the circumstances here are different compared to yours. We either have no conflict whatsoever or it's a bloody total war against Russia, like Ukraine is suffering now. The kind of half war, half terrorist hunt that you have wouldn't really be a scenario here.

I'm 37 now and I almost get random cramps just from stretching. I'm not unfit or anything. I can still do 300 pushups in 6x50 sets, but the weird old man pains and general slowness of recovery is depressing.

That's a lot of fucking pushups.

Once I hit 30 I started getting back pain when I coughed hard.

I've also never managed to "train regularly" because my recovery is always an entire week.

Is that why you became a doctor?

    lol.

    Before-doctor, die after gym.
    After-doctor, die after gym.

As for an honest answer, I became one because I was told it was a desirable job that paid well, I was able to get in, and I didn't have any other big plans.

I'm some years ahead of most of you guys. Things to protect/improve:
    -digestion/transit
-quality of sleep, not just duration. Often goes hand in hand with the first point
-try to get rid of anyone and anything increasing anxiety, stress or anything negative
-learn how to floss your long nerves.
-learn how to maintain or even improve mobility in all your joints
-walk, make it a habit, move. Somehow we're built for that and failing to do so seems to be detrimental
-any function, or skill you don't use you will slowly lose. So try to sharpen everything you can.

All the things I really like to do are either illegal, immoral, or fattening. And then: Golf.

What do you mean by flossing your long nerves?
I don't really walk much, but I don't sit either. I lie down 90% of the time, and I have 0 back problems compared to when I worked in the office. I exercise in bursts, such as HIIT, tabata, and just pushups. I got a Quest 3 (had the first one) to improve aerobic.
I totally agree with you about the sleep and company (people) quality.

Basically you move gently in specific ways to glide your long nerves. Very useful trick. I have this in my mobility routine.

Not sure what happened to me. My Muscles decided to die on me and my body decided to start eating all the fat. I have lost almost 50 pounds and I think a mix of both muscle and fat. I was 230, now 180-183, fluctuates. My CK levels reached 8000 over the course of 48 hours. No Heart attack and no stroke.

My life is slowly becoming hell. Pain all throughout body, toes to head. My muscles feel like they are being ripped apart. That burning feeling on your muscles after an workout, that is what I feel all day long. Starts about 60-90 minutes after waking up. As of November 26 a Sunday, I now get shakes on my right hand or arm.

My doctor made an appointment for me to see a specialist, she doesn't know what is happening to me.

So ya, listen to @David75. I was healthy one day and October 23 it all changed.

That's probably a really serious illness. I hope the specialist is able to find out what is wrong and treat you.

I am hoping not too serious. I am hoping the specialist can find out what is wrong with me. My CK levels are near normal now. 2 weeks on IV to get under 1000 + drinking 4-5 Liters of water a day for a month now and have to, doctors orders. I am not allowed to lift more than 5 pounds, which is hard to do. I still drink 4-5 liters of water a day. My CK levels were going down slowly but going down, so stuff are working correctly. Just the pain and I am. Stay healthy. My 40s are sucking massively.

Sorry to hear that. Our bodies are both so strong, yet so fragile at times...
I guess the "basic" test routine has been performed and it isn't a type 2 diabetes. Because it feels similar. But symptoms are shared by so many troubles it's not enough to find the root cause.

I hope you find the cause and a reliable cure and get back to health quickly!

Definitely! The doctor ruled out Diabetes first. Sugar levels fine and Insulin levels good. So I know it's not that. I'm thankful for that. I blame myself, I ate KFC and A&W and Pizza a lil more often than I should have I am guessing. At least twice a week of a mix, like KFC one day. A&W or Pizza on the weekend. I was exercising daily, like push ups, walking, some light lifting 60-80 pounds weights. Wasn't enough. I do walk daily now more, at least 30-45 minutes a day. Before was 20 minutes a day. All I am allowed to do is walk daily now. It sucks but baby steps.

Looks like you had acute rhabdomyolysis but they haven't found the cause yet? Extreme exercise/infection/trauma/medications are the more well known causes.

Not sure, I am thinking it is something else based on all my symptoms. That is why I have to see a specialist. I hope he or she can figure out what is wrong with me. Sucks massively being in this much pain 24/7. Tec 3's don't help.

I apologize for the double post. It's been 6 or 7 months lol.

Just giving an update on what is wrong with me.

    ***UPDATE***

The specialist I saw referred or deferred me to a Neurologist and he did a genetic test on my blood and apparently I was born with Muscular Dystrophy and I have no idea why this disease decided to wait 44 years to start making my life hell.

Based on my symptoms I had narrowed it down to Muscular Dystrophy or Parkinson's. I guess I have to have the worst of the two. I cannot believe I went from being able to lift over 140 pounds over my shoulders by myself to barely able to lift 5-10 pounds now without my CK levels rising a good amount.

I have a diagnosis now and it is one I am not happy with. The good news is according to the doctor, I may never see a wheel chair, but I have a lot of other health concerns that come along with this disease. I wish it would have waited 10-15 more years to do this to me.

@Buffalobiian It's not rhabdomyolysis, it's something far worse IMO.

Damn. Quite a life sentence. At least you did have decades of good life before this. Not much of a consolation when the good times are all in the past, but that's how life is.

I hope your doctors are able to slow down progression as much as possible man.

    @Kraco

    @Buffalobiian

True and due to my age, apparently it is rare to be diagnosed in the 40s age range. There are a fast and a slow progressing type. Duchenne's being the worst and fastest progressing type, and that is usually diagnosed from 6 months to 10 years of age and me being in my 40s, I think or maybe the doctors believe I have the slow progressing type and it also depends on the subtype and from what I was reading there are 30-50 different sub types.

Even if it is a slow type... I have to be mindful of heart disease, losing lung capacity and my muscles are deteriorating and hoping at a slow rate like the doctors believe and hoping to live a somewhat normal life span albeit in a lot of pain every day.

Just from reading the different types and age of onset, I am hoping I have either Distal DM (MD) or Myotonic. Either one has a somewhat normal life span with just getting weaker. The main focus for me now is to try and stay active with aerobic type exercises and walking 30m minutes a day to try and keep what I have and hope the progression does stay as a slow progression. It should be slow due to me being in my 40s and at least this is the mindset I am going with. Trying to stay positive.

Doctor wants me to go on Gabapentin or Lyrica and after researching both, the side effects scare me. I want to try and go on medical CBD oil if anything because I believe it will be more beneficial. I don't see my doctor until July 2nd. So I will ask then and hope I can go on that instead of those other two.

All I can do is continue to enjoy anime and enjoy the time I have left.
