"A bunch of strangers"?? You all are a lot more to me than a bunch of strangers on a forum. HereticA just happens to be that ne'er-do-well brother that needs some tough love so he straightens his shit out.
In my defense, I had just watched Bad Lieutenant (the original) when I posted that.
I'm surprised the rotts didn't attack you. How did they break into your yard exactly, through some loose boards or was the gate open?
I hate how some people don't take care of their very dangerous dogs. The owners of the rotts should be made to pay. Don't think they wouldn't attack a small child just as soon as a small dog.

Where the dreamer and his dream?”
I don't think it's your place to judge, but so be it.
The Rottweilers live behind our house and apparently tore down a fence post. They were wandering around our backyard, and when I let my dog out they were almost invisible because it was so dark. The whole thing must have happened in less than a minute, but it felt like an eternity. All 3 dogs ran back behind our garage and I woke up the neighborhood yelling for my brother to come help me. Once I heard my dog yelping and screaming I ran into the dark corner where they were scuffling, picked up the only moving thing that wasn't a giant Rottweiler, and ran back inside with my brother trying to scare off the dogs.Originally Posted by Animeniax

<@Terra> he told me this, "man actually meeting terra is so fucking big", and he started crying. Then he bought me hot dogs
Well hopefully it all works out, though I imagine if you were the type you could sue and make a little extra on the side. You might have to move afterward but if the settlement is worth it, them's the breaks.
I think I mentioned this before, but when I got my dog I made sure he was the kind that could defend himself (in the event all humanity disappeared from the Earth and our pets had to fend for themselves). Of course when he's older he won't be as capable, but by then I'll have another dog to keep him company who can defend both of them if need be.

Have you considered applying for a private loan that's not government subsidized? Those college loans usually have a excellent interest rates and there are payment deferral options. Check those out and see where you fit in. Don't apply for one though. Just ask, giving the information you, what your chances of getting the loan is. If they say it's good, I recommend asking for one semester's worth of financial aid (since it'll increase the chances of your appeal going through) and applying for a private loan for your next semester.

Bitch: severe weather knocked power out at my house at 3 pm Sunday.
Bigger bitch: it's still not back on in my neighborhood.
Even bigger: no eta for it to be back and this is the week I decided to take vacation... so I am basically just cooling my heels in hot humid candlelight and staggering from power hookup to power hookup on my phone.
On the bright side, I got to see some new and interesting things while failing to beat the heat. Like downed power lines trailing across my street...
Heat index tomorrow is 115°F (46°C). I'm fucking terrified.

I was dying when it was 35C over here(usually in summer it is 28C), damn it will be hard for you man...

HTC Desire's are a bit expensive but this company here puts up an awesome deal too good to pass up so i order one. They had a lack of phones even before they started the deal and realized 2 weeks later "wait a minute, perhaps we'll be unable to keep up with demand if we keep this up?"
So now i've waited over 10 weeks and it's estimated to arrive in "only" one month!
I think I've been eating foods that are too hot for my own good.
Following yesterday's meal of ramen, I had the skin lining the top of the inside of my mouth peel away, and I felt the little pieces of dangling skin.
It's happened a few times in the past, and the most recent one from memory was eating a pepperoni pizza where the upright, hardened pepperoni made a very effective grate. Previous cases were also of such a mechanical nature.
This is the first time something soft like ramen has ever done it to me though. I would expect the damage to be intensified from the way I bite soft foods like these (that is, I press the anterior/superior of my tongue against the ceiling of my mouth, right behind the top incisors, to sever the foodstuff. I find it works better than biting with incisors), due to increased contact time.
The lack of skin (or fresh layer of thin skin) means it hurts when I brushed the inner surfaces of my upper teeth this morning, and when I ate another bowl of hot ramen in a similar fashion 5 minutes ago.

Too early to say yet. You need to eat some 20 portions of hot ramen more. If you can feel the very bone after those, not just mere damaged epithelium, your hypothesis is undoubtly correct.

Apparently some piece was broken this evening in the building's plumbing and there'll be no hot water until the beginning of next week. It somewhat ruined my sauna experience this evening. The ice cold shower was less than pleasurable. But perhaps it was a useful lesson in case zombies attack or something and cold water will be all that's available.

So I finally got the job that I wanted, but I do need money and such in the interim (the job does not start until Sept.), so I signed up for some contract work at one of the big Universities here. They told me that most work lasts for 2-4 weeks, then they ask if i could make a 3 month commitment (well the middleman anyway). I told them that I could do the job for a month, (and it seemed like a cool job), but they demanded that I only say yes if I can do 3 months time. So I don't get it, and not the project manager won't return emails or calls.
I found out I should have just said "yes" then quit after a month; although that seems like lying to me; but my friend had an excellent quote: "my brand of integrity includes looking out for #1".
The cut-offs for next year's Bachelor of Medicines Degree at my preferred, 30min-drive-from-home university sky-rocketted this year even more than I had anticipated. (Last year the best spot's cutoff was 67.. This year it's at least above 70.)
So now I've been offered an interview at my next preferred university, which is an hour away (and I will most likely have to move down there), with a 66% chance of succeeding.
Thing is, I was being overconfident when filling out my preferred university's application, and told them I only wanted to be considered for the "no strings attached" position (as opposed to some rural-practice-bonded positions), and also told them that I didn't want to be considered for a different campus.
Offers for the first university may still be made as people decline some, but I can only receive them if I don't respond to my other offer for an interview.
I dunno whether to take what I'm given, or give it up for a chance at the better one. My score of 70 (which I consider pretty good, being at the 97th percentile) will still let me apply next year (in which case I'll definitely make the safer choice of being open to all types of positions), so I could always do that.. but then I'll have to find something to do with myself next year (ie find a full-time job).
Fuck. (I know it's better than some people who won't even hear anything about an interview, but still.... )

Both my ipod touch and phone randomly broke yesterday, and I don't get paid for a month, so there is no way that I could replace either, even though I need both (also, the ipod restore failed without giving me reason, so all my data is gone...thanks apple). On my ipod, the volume keeps going all the way down automatically and the volume icon is always on the screen. Apparently, this has not happened to anyone else on the internet, so I am guessing its a random hardware failure, which means that I will probably need to replace the whole thing. Argh!
Maybe take this as a sign that you need to simplify and disengage from your technological entanglements. A couple months ago I spent too much time on this one forum, I got IP banned for trolling (which I wasn't) which prevented me from posting there for months. With all of that free time I was much more productive in other life pursuits.

I or someone deleted my complete contact list from windows live yesterday. All 200+ contacts gone. I had to re-add them all. I've made a back-up now.
Now... we can click as warriors... button to button, it is the basis of all internet.

Campaign on normal on SC2 is too easy and hard is too difficult. Why can't they make a difficulty level right in the middle like moderate?

I go for the achievements too. They are easy to achieve on normal mode and still accomplish the primary objectives, but on hard mode I've found it very difficult to earn the achievements as well as complete the mission so I've had to skip the side missions in those scenarios.

You don't necessarily need to get all the achievements in one go. If you're having trouble, just go for the hard achievements on hard mode and do everything else on normal.
For the tarrazine mission, for example, its way easier to wipe out the entire protoss base on normal mode, since otherwise you just have a bunch of infantry and they have collosus.
