Thread: School Rumble: 2nd Term

Yeah I think its just a stereotype of Cinderella stories. Reminded me of pretty women for some reason.

I liked the off-story about Harima and Tenoujii's little siblings. Both seemed reluctant to introduce thier older brothers :-P

Hmm... How peculiar that nobody has posted nothing about the sixth episode yet. Was it so good it left you speechless?

    Episode 6 - WF

This main portion of this show was certainly pretty crazy with the play. Even if it was more embarrassment than direct humour. But I have to say the play did end up having just a slightly incoherent plot. And especially conclusion. During the party I was already wondering where Harima is, but then the last seconds before the credits answered that in the funniest way possible.

All in all this wasn't the greatest of the episodes, but it did continue the excellence of the series in general.

For one, this eps put Yakumo and Eri in direct confrontation for Harima, whether either one of them meant for it to go that way. Eri can try to pass it off all she wants, she's got it bad for Harima.

Gotta love Akira fixing the play as she went along, rewriting it so she can force Eri to kiss Harima, and stealing it anyway, and the dumb class president from 2-D thinking it was the greatest play ever.

But I don't remember where the guy dancing with Mikoto was from. I can't remember where he was before in this series.

It has been a while since I last updated my MPC and K-Lite Codec Pack, so I can at least say there isn't anything really novel needed.

Have a look at this thread. It might offer some usable suggestions.

Oh. Needless to say, but Windows Media Player can't play videos packed in mp4 containers (or any other containers but vobs), as far as I know.

hmmm something must've happen, because i went back to try and play all the old episode of School rumble 2 term, which work before but now they are having the same problem as episode 6.

oh and i did try the suggestion in that thread, still no result however.

Ep 6 rocked. Like Ryllharu, I also have no clue who that person is.

The guy dancing with Mikoto was Asou. He was part of the Cafe faction in the school battle and was one of the two who confronted the fake Eri at the end of the episode. He was also part of the horse team during the sports festival with Mikoto.

I thought this eps might end up a little slow after all the insanity of the school fesitval, but once again I'm happy to be wrong.

The variation on the Iron Chef music was great, as were the Princess Mononoke allusions.

I don't think I'll ever get tired of seeing Lala beat the ever-loving-shit out of Imadori.

Aye. Indeed this series doesn't cut any corners even if Imadori does. The first part was better in my opinion, and the Princess Mononoke reference was great. The latter half of the episode was somewhat fragmented obviously, and didn't actually have that much humour. I wonder if they are going to use some of those part time jobs later on more extensively. The fast food restaurant we have of course seen before, and the cafe, but not the others, I think. Well, actually the others didn't seem so permanent or permanently interesting...

    A fine episode once again.

The food competition was great. Like you guys said, I loved the Mononoke reference. The shining ingredients and the girls crying were great.

As usual, the Lala - Imadori interaction was pure gold
Satsuki looks like a nice character, hope she shows up more often.

This episode didn't have much of the old school rumble style misunderstanding humour, but it was certainly filled with humour of other kind. Even though I felt it was a bit calmer and serious than many of the other episodes. Perhaps because the events were quite realistic, and it was just the beginning part of a longer arc.

As a parody of any sports drama, this eps was perfect. From Ane-san's horribly harsh and horrible in the normal definition coaching method, to the undersized rookie with a heart of gold and a crush on the talented guy, the idiotic love triangles that go with that, and Tenma's complete and utter failure to suceed (the swing set parts had me falling out of my chair).

Another great episode I liked how they showed that Lala isn't just a crazed battle freak (but her loud voice was getting on my nerves a bit). Gotta wonder if that basketball girl will make any more appearances or not.

Lala's extensive dialogue in this episode was something new. I also found her voice a tad annoying after a while.

I agree. It was especially bad when she went to get the escaped basketball girl back. Well, it's not like she will be having this many lines in the future, probably.

However, otherwise I think this might have been a bit funnier than the first half of the arc. Continued pretty much of the non-misunderstanding line (although there were a few), but the humour was good nonetheless. A good episode altogether.
