i nkow this anime is the greatest romance anime ever. i have watched it 3 times, and just watched it again. its that awesome!
well i do have a few questions regarding the last episode, which i think i know the answer to, but i just want somone to confirm it.
in teh last episode, a girl with a bucket goes into some kind of apartment. is that place takayuki's showing that they have moved out to a better place (considering takayuk's promotion thus paying him more.)
also, takayuki's job is in the main office right? and not a servant anime more?
and i guess that several years later, takayuki and mitsuki are still together considering it showed that she has the ring on her finger still.

well thats all.. im pertty sure these questions have obvious answer, but im in complete self denial, and someone please confirm

I'm not sure if I can give links to other forums here, but these threads are a lot more appropriate for answering your question.

Do you have the DVD version? Because it has an extended ending which happens to be the best ending I've ever seen in any anime series. If you don't, get KickAssAnime's episode 14 and I'll send you the translation for that part. I'm not gonna tell you what it is, but I'll just say that it's the most beautiful ending I've ever seen.

It's actually a pretty long part so the cropped file is still too big for me to upload anywhere. Just download the entire episode 14 from KickAssAnime, I guarantee you won't regret it.

However, I will upload the translation for that once my web storage gets fixed, as the server is down atm. I take no credit for the translation.

I don't understand... what scene are you speaking of that only KAA has, and why does it need another translation, as in why wasn't it translated in the first place?

Translation I suggest you print it out and follow along.

The DVD set of KGNE has an extended ending that wasn't aired. If I'm not mistaken, KAA is the only group that made a DVD-rip release of KGNE. Lunar and all the other groups used TV-rips, so they don't have it. In the TV version, I think it ended with Mitsuki and Takayuki moving out. In the DVD version, it ends with a story book.

Why didn't KAA sub the ending? I have no idea.

Humm, from what I remember the TV-Rip ended with Akane reading the book Haruka wrote... Is this a different scene you are talking about?

Or do you acutually see a picture book, and you have to read it (hence the translation you posted)

well judging from the translation only, its different because the story is longer, so hopefully the new ending will show a less vague ending.... please!

Oh so that's how it is. In this ending, you're actually shown each page of the book.

KGNE was a piece of shit. No, I'm not joking. It was just that bad. I felt nothing emotional about it, other than pure boredom at how miserably awful it was. I kept watching because people were ranting about how great it was, but sadly to no avail, as at the end, it STILL sucked. What really irked me about this anime was how flat and undeveloped the characters were. Most people felt sorry for Mitsuki for "all she did" I don't see it that way at all. All I felt was wanting to puke at how she was acting, despite her not being developed enough for. Takayuki is also the biggest moron in the series. Not because of what he did to Haruka/Mitsuki/whoever, but just because he literally did... nothing. And he still continued to wallow in self pity and angst.

Anime like KGNE is very character driven, and because they sucked so much in KGNE, it fails horribly. End of story,

In KGNEs dfense though, it's mountains better than Shuffle! which is the most recent (aside from FSN) translation from an H-game to anime.

there was a big arguement between these two guys about how this series don't give emotional feelings and such in Boxtorrent. The discussion was long and didn't stop and each post they posted was at least 30lines long. I WAS going to download it but then the arguement caused me to forget about it

Maybe you just have to look at the lack of development, instead of development. Given the circumstances, it's hard for the characters in their given situations to actually "develop". You can't expect Mitsuki to just wake up and say "Oh cool I've been in a coma for 3 years. Screw Takayuki I'm eating some ribs."

In real life people don't really change that much. You are who you are for your whole life. The only thing that changes is how much you're willing to express yourself. It's what makes me like KGNE. Other animes tend to really center around character development and have the characters go through multiple epiphanies in a matter of weeks. That doesn't happen in real life. KGNE is a much more accurate portrayal of reality, and if you feel there's not enough reality in real life, then...join the hippies.

So, you're saying reality is to blame for the shitty execution of the anime? Don't get me wrong -- I loved that they went for the realistic feel and mature storytelling. The problem is... It just wasn't done well. No matter how you look at it, KGNE is a soap opera, through and through. Everything you see happening here... happens in real soaps. However, soap operas are based entirely around its characters. In order for one to really enjoy it, they must be able to feel for the characters. However, at least for me, there was no sense of empathy or even sympathy towards the characters (except Haruka, for obvious reasons). Every character felt unrealistically flat and just didn't appeal to me. Everything they did was completely irrational, EVEN for a soap-type show. A little common sense and consideration would go such a long way in this show, but they don't even utilize that. It's a garbage show, "realistic" or not.

And yes, there should be development in characters. That's what makes anime interesting. To see a character slowly develop into what they are. And in KGNE, between Mitsuki and Takayuki, there was sadly a lack of.
