looks cool. I don't have much knowledge about these kind of things, anyone know when a new mammal was found before this one if this one indeed is a a new mammal.

wow thats pretty intresting. Its really rare to see a whole new species on land. You'd think that at this point in time, our civilisation would be aware of all the creatures in the many jungles, but then something like this pops up. It really is pretty kool

It would be hilarious if this species turned out to be an insane killing animal who ate all of Borneo...

Well, it was a question of new mammal species. Like has been said, it's extremely rare to find any of those, anymore. However, since jungles generally have the widest variety of species, it's only natural to go there to look for new mammal species as well. Small, nocturnal animals are naturally prime candidates.

A million seems too high, but there are a lot. Mostly bugs. And plants. And tiny sea creatures. Not interesting. A new mammal is something interesting though, and I like it's tail. I hope they catch one soon.

the point of my post was that i really doubt whether someone that knew what they were talking about said "there ARE over a million." since there is no way to know they probably said "there MAY BE over a million."
