That Vice Admiral that blew up that ship looked cool with his hood on. I wonder if he advanced and became one of the 3 Admirals also. And the ending was just so cool, they really know how to make you want more. If this show wasnt so good I would love to skip some weeks so I could just marathon.

I thought the begining of the episode was a little slow (kid Robin was a kinda, well, corny), but the ending...so great! And here I thought that 274's ending was the best in memory; the ending scene in 278 was absolutely...well ONE PEICE! I can't wait for the upcomming episodes and the beat down of CP9!
Ao Koji was good also, the whole absolute justice bit was good. And yeah, who was the other Vice Admiral with the hoodie? I wonder if he is one of the 3 Admirals now. I think maybe he is the Red dog Aka Inu. Doesn't seem to be the Yellow Monky Ki Zaru.

Here's an interesting question considering Luffy just burn the flag and declared war on the World Government... (I've posted it again in the manga discussion section)

Does the Shibukai work with the government? I would assume so as they are pirates keeping pirates in check. Now that Luffy has declared was on the World Government, would the 7 Shibukai's be after Luffy's crew as well?

Luffy could certainly apply for the Shibukai for his tenacity and power on the ocean, but they've already declared war on the government, and they carry Nico Robin and Frankie, who can resurrect the weapons. And no way would the Government allow the to roam free.

I hope Whitebeard and Red Hair Shanks aren't affiliated with the Shibukai. If not we're in for one hell of a batlle to come!

Luffy could apply to be a shichibukai, but won't do it even if he didn't declare war on the World Government. Not trying to be rude, but were you watching the last 2 episodes that [ADC] put out there? The World Government is more concerned about Robin uncovering the truth that was kept from the people on 'void century' than the weapons.
Also, I thought shichibukai are pirates that are recognized by the world government as a threat. At the same, as long as those shichibukai give the world government a share of their profits and keep the other pirates in check it's okay. I cant wait for what happens after this arc.

p.s. I doubt there are 7 shichibukais now that Sir Crocodile was defeated by Luffy.

Well, Marshall D. Teach (aka Blackbeard) is vying for the spot left vacant by Sir Crocodile, but yeah there are 6 at the moment.

@Darth: The SogeKing part ruled and how Luffy called upon him, "SogeKing..."! I guess he is now a StrawHat now (woot! Ussop is back) not that I ever thought that he wouldn't be.

I agree, in my opinion though, I highly doubt that Marshall D. Teach will get the 7th spot lost by Crocodile. I think that M.D. Teach will only go after Luffy because of the high bounty put on him and M.D. Teach thinks of that as a way of getting his status as a shibukai.

Declearing war on the World Government doesnt exactly mean that the Shichibukai are after them. The Shichibukai seem free to do what ever they want as long as it's against pirates. If they were under orders to attack all pirates I doubt Mihawk would've went to meet Shanks to show him Luffy wanted poster. I wanna know who is if there is anybody over the Admirals, there has to be somebody thats so powerful that the Shichibukai work with them.

The Shichibukai are pirates the World Government fears. I'm sure that they would admit Whitebeard if he was willing; however, whats up right now is there are pirates, much like Luffy who would rather be a pirate than be a "dog of the government". The Shichibukai, dont exactly take orders, they just dont go around sinking marine fleets for no reason like they might had they not agreed to being Shichibukai. I doubt Hawkeye was ordered to take out Don Kreig, he said he did it because they disrupted his sleep. Besides, Hawkeye seems to be good friends with Shanks (who we still haven't seen his power, I mean for anyone to challenge Hawkeye to a sword fight...) and probably wouldn't lay a hand on Shanks. (how did he find where the Red-haired pirates were anyway?

Oda does little three-page sidestories that uses the strawhat crew as characters in weird alternate universes. Chopperman is one of the sidestories where Chopper is a "hero." Chopper flying around in the ending of recent eps is Chopperman.

I was pretty surprised to see the first opening (or something very similar?) starting the ep, but it all made sense five minutes in...

Looks like October is going to be flashback month. Oh well, this had to happen eventually since bad things occur if an anime catches up to the manga. I have a small gripe about them not explaining Franky's "departure" from the tower in more detail, but perhaps it'll be re-shown when they're done examining all of the crew's feelings.

Yup, the anime's catching up with the manga, and hence the flashbacks. Kinda irritating. But I guess people in Japan, the anime's don't re-run. Whereas for us, we've been either buying or downloading the episodes so we can always watch the past episodes at will.
