Wings of Rean
A trailer has been released for this series... This series is based on a novel by Yoshiyiki Tomino, who we know has the creator of Gundam (I think)...

According to a news found here, this series will start airing on December 16, and it will air online on the bandai channel or some shit like that

"Because he fired a rocket bomb into the US camp, Asap(?) Suzuki was wanted by the US Army and the Police. While he was running away by automobile, suddenly the sea surface rose, and the light was shining there. And, he saw a strange looking battleship flying in the light.
He was dumped into the sea, and when he crawled up to the battleship, there was a beatuful girl standing. She said that she was Lyx(?), the prince of another world, Byston Wel, and added,
My father is Japanese, Shinjiro Sakomizu. Please help me, Asap Suzuki.
He was surprised because she wasnt supposed to know his name.
It wasnt only the battleship but people from Byston Wel and machines looked like insects appeared one after another, and the cities were in fire by the bombardment of the battleships."

Wow... that was a mess... very cool premise... the battleships look cool... F35s!... but the execution seems wrong... way too choppy... doesn't feel polished at all, they go too far in the fantasy... granted it might be like twelve kingdoms where you wouldn;t understand what the hell they are talking about in the first ep and then everything makes sense... but i'm skeptical. also the quality of the video for the mahou version is kinda bad...
i'll wait, and see... if people say it gets better (or actually, if a better quality version comes out) i'll watch...

I was going to download the first episode but I checked their website and they said that the quality kinda sucked:
"Also, Wings of Rean was encoded from a crappy online-video stream (it's all that's available currently) so deal with the quality and enjoy another fantastic series!"

That's very true... It's only airing on the web, so getting a good source for it would be nearly impossible...
Hopefully it'll be released on DVD soon so that mahou can re-release with that source also, but for now, it'll have to do.

As you may know, this OVA is a side-story or something from an early 80's anime, Aura Battler Dunbine..
Here's a link if you are interested in downloading it, 49 Episodes:
http://isohunt.com/download.php?mode=bt&id=7163167
There's also another side story related to Aura Battler Dunbine called, Tales of Byston Well: Garzey's Wing... a 3 episode OVA, but I think you can only get it through the edonkey network...
There's also a sequel OVA for Aura Battler Dunbine, but I don't think anyone has released it... I don't even know if the OVA is also licensed, if it isn't, I doubt anyone would released it.
