I liked this ep, been a while since this show made me laugh. Rin's reaction to Shirou wanting to go on a date with Saber was great. Her chop to IIya was halarious also. Some reason I thought Lancer would show up at the end instead of Goldy.

I thought it was 26 eps.

I liked this episode because it breaks from the long chain of serious episodes before it. It's probably the last of its type because the rest will conclude the series. Looks like the next episode will be action packed.

No, it's 24, at least that's what Wiki says...

But I'll bet there's going to be OVA's out

A splendid episode. The fight against Goldy was just as great as was to be expected. And certainly just as cruel as I hoped... And the interaction between Shirou and Saber afterwards was likewise what I hoped would happen. Very finely balanced.

But Shirou still hasn't learned better than to walk alone... Especially seeing how the rules of the battle had been already twisted he should have been a bit wiser. Well, it did make a nice ending for the episode.

Damn, I was wrong about Lancer's master being a female.

A splendid episode indeed in so many ways.

The king of heroes aka Goldie was so ruthless but why did he disappear after one counter attack? So the sheath of the Excalibur is stronger than the sword itself? So if Saber is the sword than the scabbard (Shirou) is stronger than his servant.

The love scene between Saber and Shirou was so nice to see. He finally kissed the girl he cherishes so much. I enjoyed those H moments.

So Lancer has shown his face. He is coward like his master and attacked from behind. The next three episodes should be exhilarating.

Historically the scabbard of Excalibur was supposed to have powers of it's own. "Excalibur's scabbard has the magical power to protect its bearer from harm (and to prevent the bearer from suffering further harm from wounds already received)." Bascially the Excalibur is supposed to cut anything, but the scabbard can contain it's power, hence it must have very powerful defensive magic. By tracing it Shirou created a defense capable of withstanding Goldy's attacks. Where he got the idea to create it is a mystery though, but Shirou has shown he doens't need to have seen things in order to create them.

Poor Saber though, that's two previews in a row where we've seen her ass to the ground in defeat...not cool. And how will she stand against both Gil and Lancer all alone? Especially with Shiroh constantly in the way.

    Good episode.
You'd think Shirou would learn after a while; walking around alone is dangerous, heck, he got attacked even when he was with saber, that should've been a warning bell...
There's only one way to describe Shirou, "Curiosity kills the cat."

EDIT: In retrospect, where was RIn and Ilya? I was half expecting them to pop out when Shirou and Saber were alone.

Wow! This episode was most pleasing! I think Shirou has realized how dead set Saber is on using the Holy Grail for her intentions.

This episode was amazing, i stilll haven't come down from the high that i have gotten frrom watching it. Gilgamish huh, cool. And so Lancer's master has been revealed. talk about an evil bastard. Its a dirty job, but i didn't think that he was the one to do it, since he was Rin's master.

    Trace on.

Haha! three dropouts posting at the same time!! Unity!!

Really, I spent last week downloading this series. Hooked from the beginning.

This has got to be my favorite episode along with episode 14. The fight against Gil was great. His "Gate of Babylon" is seriously badass.

Apart from the fighting, the interaction between Shirou and Saber was great. Finding out that Shirou is Saber's scabbard just go to show what a connection the two have. Good thing that Shirou finally grew some balls and told Saber how he really feels.

Guess I'll jump on the splendid train also, I seriously didn't want this ep to end. Going by the opening and the fact that Kotomine was a master in the last war I'd say he's also Gil's master also. And it didn't look like Lancer was all that pleased to attack Shirou from behind. I wanna see more of Gil's sword, it was so awesome along with that scyth of his(don't see too many of those now a days).

As well the man in the car looks just like the land owner in the first ep, review it and you will see thats right
Yeah, I posted this awhile ago

This was again a very nice ep. Did anyone else catch what he called his sword?

I would have posted sooner, if I had seen the episode sooner :P
But working on sunday got in the way.

Anyways... amazing episode. But I got confused with the dream Shirou had this time.

How come Saber stabbed a soldier... and when this soldier's helmet broke... another Saber was there? o_O
