Man, it has been way too long since I read anything about those stories. Very clever writing, Ryllharu. Well, at least I'm happy I guessed it, when I read your paragraphs with the bolded words, and I didn't actually need read the identity out aloud. A tiny victory for me, at least... Heh heh. Aye, you certainly seem to know your stuff.

Hmm... Maybe the fact that she liked to try to immobilize her enemies (with the chains) also refers nicely to Medusa.

it was too bad though to see Riders ultimate move get shafted by Sabers Excalibur.

Guess that meant that Rider wasn't really shit...

Well, to be fair, Saber's ultimate attack seems to be very risky, considering her condition after using Excalibur. If she had missed or otherwise wasted that single attack, a child could have defeated her after that. There didn't seem to be such a weakness in Rider's power.

Saber said something very curious... She said that if she used her skill at this height she wouldn't have to worry about scorching the Earth. It's evident that Saber might have been the person responsible for that incident that almost killed Shirou.

I think it was either the preview or the beginning of the first ep, but we see some of what happened to the city when Shirou was a kid, Saber was definatly fighting someone in some flaming rubble their swords clashed and there was a big explosion, then we see a pan of flaming rubble that loks just like what Shirou recently walked out of in a flashback to his child hood...hmmmmm very interesting

Yeah I remember that scene, but I thought at the time that the scene is something that would happen in the future, but it may very well be a scene from the past War, like I've seen some of you think.

well yeah the first is obviously Saber:

And I thought the second guy was Archer until I decided to look at the first ep again. and he looks nothing like any of the servants(although I have my suspicions):

It does look like this happened in the previous war, seeing how Shirou talks about the event.

I personally think the fire was caused by both of them, not just by Sabers wind tornader fire cyclone of doom.

I mentioned this a couple pages ago, I think that's archer since the classes never change just the spirit within them. Going by that it's safe to say that that's not Berserker or Assassin. That leaves Archer and Lancer and well Lancer fights with a lance while Archer is able to use both a sword and Bow. The move he uses in the very beginning is prob his phantasm using the bow. I expect a repeat performence with Rin and Shirou being the final two.

And I have a hunch that Shirou's dad was Saber's previous master and Archer's (?) master was a relative of Rin's.

the rider saber battle , actually went precisly like the bellerophon chimera fight

Bellerophon mounted his steed and flew off to where the Chimera was said to dwell. When he arrived, the Chimera was truly ferocious, and he could not harm the monster even while riding on Pegasus. He felt the heat of the breath(excalibur) the Chimera(saber) expelled, and was struck with an idea. He got a large block of lead and mounted it on his spear. He then flew head-on towards the Chimera, holding out the spear as far as he could. Before he broke off his attack, he managed to lodge the block of lead inside the Chimera's throat. The beast's fire-breath melted the lead, and blocked its air passage

except saber(chimera) won this fight ( no dont worry this isnt who saber really is )
    also:
Pegasus was eventually turned into a constellation, but a single feather fell to the earth near the city of Tarsus

i think thats nice use of the myth, the "feather" being the shooting star like comet it turned into

edit: pegasus rules dammit!!, i wouldnt mind having that horse

Ep 13 is out by Eclipse.

Today isnt the same without a Shana ep coming out also, these two shows were perfect to watch togather.

Well, can't say any huge things happened action wise in this ep, but otherwise it revealed interesting things. And the title of the next episode looks promising as well, in that respect. Although despite the title, I hardly think it means Shirou would actually command Saber to go and suck some souls.

But now Shirou is once again getting one more reality check. But so hard is his head that I wonder if this is still enough. Maybe it will take something more, before we get to the real end of ideals, if ever.

But other than that, unless Ilya expects Shirou to escape, she certainly doesn't know about his (only) skill. After all, being such a material manipulator, nothing should be easier for him than getting rid of some pesky ropes...

It seemed that rather than have Saber suck some souls, that he was going to find the real Excaliber (I didn't notice any appreciable difference though, I probably wasn't paying enough attention).

If he materializes the sword, perhaps that will solve Saber's Mana problems. Maybe it's even an issue of his improper summoning.

Also, Ilya is rather...forward with Shirou. Despite her young appearance, she's really after Shirou, isn't she?

i don't get it...since it based on the h-game, y don't they just recharge the mana in the h-way? do like a kiss, fades out, and the next morning 2 lies on the same bed?

ok yes that wut i would love and have been expecting to c hahahahhaha
    SABER!!!!!!!!

wonder how r they gonna recharge mana without the h

Are you saying Arthur is actually a woman?

  18. #218
Aparently in this series Arthur is indeed female, I liked how Merlin called her Arturia.

@Kraco, it's not a matter of knowing Shirou's skills, Ilya simply thinks that he can't do anything because of the spell (or whatever) she did on him. It seems that it should've rendered him useless, incapable of doing anything.

And I agree with Ryllharu, I think all problems will be solved with Shirou materializing the real Excaliber, or whatever that other sword was.

    It's called magic.

Man, no wonder I didn't recognize who Saber was. I always knew she had something to do with Arthur and the Knights, but didn't expect them to twist that legend and make Arthur a female...

Well, that's just a theory, unless I'm forgotting some line. After all Ilya said the effects of the spell were already lessening, first allowing Shirou to wake up, then talk. I don't remember her ever seeing Shirou do anything, so she might very well think he's good for nothing, as far as magic goes.

What you are saying about the materializing the real sword sounds indeed like something that could happen. Even if it didn't make much sense, unless it somehow connected Shirou and Saber. Otherwise it would be like creating a device that independently generates more energy than creating and supporting it takes... But of course something is going to happen with the sword, or it wouldn't have gotten such a big role.
