It really does seem that the more powerful he becomes the stupider he gets. I remember in the beginning of the series when he only knew one move, yeah, he acted like an idiot, but he was always beating people with complicated tricks involving clones and transformations. Now he's like, way more powerful than before, he's up to like 4 moves, and he can't win anything though anything but brute force. It's all just throw clones at him till I can get a Rasengan off.

um... no, even when he had That is just a biproduct of fillers, look at the last few non-filler episodes, narutop was definatly getting stronger/ smarter, not more ignorent / piss poor with all his techniques, even the sauske vs Naruto fight, he did alot of stuff that plain kicked ass. Everything after that has been filler.
