I'd beat the living shit out of Sasuke for being a gay prick, beat Sakura for the annoying useless bitch shes been to me for all the years I've known her, and actually train instead of going through craptacular filler adventures and being a dick. Sasuke is Naruto's best friend (they have been through many missions together so it's only logical that they became friends even though it doesn't show.). Naruto only wants to be noticed by Sasuke that they are both equal so when they fought, they both fought with everything they had to see who was the stronger one. yes, i agree that the whole concept of Naruto wanting to be noticed is very touching, and it touched me too,but that still doesnt change the fact that Sasukes a dick. I dont really care if sasuke realizes how strong I am or not (if I were Naruto) because i havent gone through all the emotional and lonely situations Naruto has. Im just saying that the situation looking from an outside perspective makes Sasuke look like a dick even though he did think of Naruto as a friend. Dont forget he still almost killed Naruto for power even though they have been on missions together and have become both close friends and rivals. My actions and naruto's actions would obviously be different considering how different our lives are.
My memory tells me Sasuke left the village without telling anybody. It was Naruto & company who went after him. And then Sasuke left Naruto behind a second time (to deal with the lord of bones). And you are telling it was Sasuke's fault that he, as you said it, was close to killing Naruto? And besides, close to killing means the same thing as not killing, it doesn't mean killing with some restrain.

Well, I do get your point, but I still think they both knew it was a serious fight. And certainly Naruto knew it as well at that point, but chose to fight nonetheless. It was the same thing already back at the rooftop: Both used a potentially lethal jutsu. You have to notice that not once since that fight (as far as I can remember, I could be wrong, though), has Naruto blamed Sasuke for the thing you are blaming him.
You gotta remember they are ninjas. Quite like soldiers: Getting killed is a likely part of the duty, and they know it.
True, true. You have a good point. But to me it seemed more than just a mission, but a serious personal issue. I dont even think (unless im mistaken) that Naruto really knew the reason why Sasuke wanted to kill him in the first place. So Naruto doesnt really have a reason to come up with for Sasuke even wanting to kill him, hell he probably doesnt even know that Sasuke would get anything out of killing him, and thinks something along the lines that Sasuke thought he was just in the way. But we the audience having known what the characters are mostly thinking, know more of the reasoning behind Sasuke's and Naruto's actions.
