    That always really confused me too. Just before he left Konoha he decided to go back to his old look. Kishimoto shoulda kept his jumpsuit thing w/the bandages on his arms and belt buckles and stuff. That looked really good.

    I think you should just keep it one character at a time. That way you can stretch it for longer. It's also more fun to comment on each character as they are posted.

    hmmm well imo neji just looks gay in pink shirt lol, anyways heres the Inane verion of Neji i think it looks better in this pic imo and probally is waht he'll look in the anime XD.. ( i hope -.- lol ) also lee dont look much different but still looks better with vest XD

    Lee looks like a younger clone of Gai. I don't really expect much will change with him, since he can't use anything but taijutsu. He can only get better at that, not get any fancy new techniques. And his personality doesn't really show much promise of serious development.

    I still think Neji looks uber cool and badass, in a detached, disinterested way. I bet Konoha could get better payments if Neji was present when they negotiate prices with customers. And Tenten looks very cute, even if she's not interested in boys...

    I don't think Neji would wear that sort of vest even if he became chuunin. It wouldn't really fit well with his clothing style, the style of the whole clan.

    So then hardwork does pay off over sheer talent... Or maybe Neji realized that the vest would clash with his style? He looks pretty damn awesome in his new outfit.

    And I think ten-ten would have to make a shit ton of improvements to get to Chuunin level. She is great with projectile weapons, and has that Bo-staff, but she just doesn't seem to be a well-balanced ninja yet. No evidence of her having any skills with magic, genjutsu, stealth or strategy yet... Doesn't strike me as a good leader or anything either...

    But I would honestly be shocked if Lee got to Chuunin before Neji. Shikamaru got promoted because he's smart, sensible and always keeps a cool head. Neji may not be as smart or charismatic (calling Shikamaru charismatic seems to be the wrong use of the word...) but he is a pretty advanced fighter, keeps a level head and has that 'leader mentality. Rock Lee.... sure he's full of dynamic energy and Springtime of Youth and all that crap.. but that seems to be a flaw as far as a superior level is concerned.

    Humans are different from animals. We must die for a reason. Now is the time for us to regulate ourselves and reclaim our dignity. The one who holds endless potential and displays his strength and kindness to the world. Only mankind has God, a power that allows us to go above and beyond what we are now, a God that we call "possibility".

    I'm kinda disappointed Lee hasn't developed his own style by now. I had kinda hoped he would grow his hair out like he used to have it (not the braided style, the other one).

    Eventually somebody has to get promoted on the basis of just power, otherwise the village wouldn't be full of high level ninjas with crippling social disorders.

    I mean, look at Kakashi. This is like his first team he's ever trained and the whole thing has imploded on him, and he doesn't even bother anymore. Not much of a leader if you ask me.

    Well, to be fair, I think Kakashi got pretty troublesome source material: One guy who had devoted his life to revenge and nothing else, one complete moron, and one good for nothing chick.

    However, I have to agree with you on one thing: Kakashi doesn't bother anymore. Actually already during the Chuunin exam he pretty much forgot Naruto and Sakura. Ironically Kakashi's disinterest in training anyone but Sasuke actually got the two remaining members possibly even better masters...
