I'm too cheap to pay for this. Plus, this forums has been serving that purpose extremely well lately.
"You are not free whose liberty is won by the rigour of other, more righteous souls. Your are merely protected. Your freedom is parasitic, you suck the honourable man dry and offer nothing in return. You who have enjoyed freedom, who have done nothing to earn it, your time has come. This time you will stand alone and fight for yourselves. Now you will pay for your freedom in the currency of honest toil and human blood."

It's free for 10 hours after that it costs $36 for a year, that's friggen cheap. The service is truly awesome, I found like 5 new bands in a couple of minutes.

Check this out: All Music Guide

Type in the name of a band you know/love, you'll get a review, a discography, and a list of many, many other artists that are similar. In fact, its like this: say you like Opeth and you want something like them, it'll give a list. Maybe Opeth is interesting, but you want something similar, but a little more mellow, you'll get a list for that. Maybe Opeth song arrangement is interesting, but you need more raw power, you can get a list of artists that fit the bill for that too. Then, all you need to do is go on some bt site, or your favorite p2p program, and seek out those band names you found. And, its free.

Ok, there's something the person who posted this forgot to mention. There's a free version of this. You don't have to pay. Just that there will be some ads. No adware, no spyware, no installing anything on your computer. But there will be some ads. Kinda like radio netscape used to have. It should NOT be a huge problem at all for anyone. The ads aren't even implemented yet. By the way, after having used this all day, I think I may in fact pay for this service, just as a show of support for the creators. It really is as fantastic as mr. Nai is making it out to be. Only thing, there are some things that the program doesn't recognize, but they say they'll get to checking them out eventually. You guys should try this out. As a personal favor, can anyone who does try this out try to create a Yoko Kano station? It won't recognize her, but I'm hoping that the more people that request it, the faster they'll look into her :-D.

edit: I realize this is a double post, but I had to bump the thread to retract what I said and made sure that people noticed. Pandora is worth it.
