Running KF's .mp4's

For everyone having trouble playing KF's new .mp4's this is our thread for setting your computer up with the best codec for playing them, and everything else.

Step 1. Follow the instructions at http://forums.animesuki.com/showthread.php?t=17669 to completely uninstall all of your current codecs and filters. This is to remove any conflicts with what you may already be using.

Step 2. Install the latest version of CCCP from here: http://www.kickassanime.org/wiki/index.php?title=CCCP

Step 3. Finally, install the latest version of MPC found here: http://sourceforge.net/projects/guliverkli/

This should work for most people. If it doesn't, your computer is a dick, read the rest of the thread and hope someone found an alternative that works for you. Also, not that the running the new mp4's seems to be a bit of a system hog. So if your just having problems with slowness or chopiness of picture, its probably because your computer hasn't enough power. Get a new one, or make sure you don't have alot of other programs running.

The new MPC that just came out is capable of playing mp4 without installing the Haali Splitter

It official mp4 hates me, I even installed the codec pack and deleted all my other codecs but the audio seems to be about 2sec faster then the picture. Starts to cry since I never can watch One Piece again [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif[/img].

Your pc probably sucks, or you have too many programs running at the same time...

What's fucking you over is not mp4, but the h264 codec...

Run this and ignore everything else listed in this thread none of those methods worked for me at all this did.
