That picture of Kairi and Sora was drawn at the very beginning of the game by Sora. Its when you go looking for mushrooms and you have to go into the Secret Area at the Destiny Islands. Sora drew that picture of him giving a paopu fruit to Kairi because of the legend hidden behind it: if you share the fruit with someone you really care about, it'll bind you both together for all eternity.
