Thread: Mushishi

  1. #81
I've wondered this ever since I started watching Mushishi, and the issue is brought up again in ep 20. Is Ginko immortal? Immortality is definitely possible as shown in one of the earlier episodes where a guy eats the tooth growing on the roof of his mouth and becomes immortal. At the end of ep 20, Tanyu keeps saying how Ginko will still be alive even by the time she becomes an old woman. It seems like everything indicates that Ginko had some incident with a mushi and became immortal.

Well we're both happy and sad to say that these are the last two episodes of Mushishi for now. But don't worry, starting in may, the final six episodes will air and we'll be subbing them.

thats what C1 said on their site.. nooo!!!!!
i cant wait that long!!! this is like the best anime ever!!!!
    may?!?! thats too long!!!!

Maybe the final 6 episodes will actually have a continuous story to end everything. A super-mushi or something like that.

spank my monkey and call me Sally!

    It's the Official Mushishi Soundtrack!

listening to it now, over 20 tracks of greatness. This is so going to be the music I play before going to sleep every night. Soothing like a full body massage from a Saigon whore, without having to worry about your wallet getting picked...

double posting, yes I know, but I can also justify this action by linking to episodes not yet seen in this thread.

However, a more important issue has come to my attention. Various sources I've found claim that not only is this show 26 episodes long but that 3 of the un-subbed 6 remaining have already aired in Japan. This info is on AniDB as well as Mahou and some other places.

So look forward to some new Mushishi, i know I am!

oh yeah, some new group has done the first two episodes
    Mushish Episode 1 - MooShi
    Mushishi Episode 2 - MooShi

And this thread gets a bump from me.

I've only caught up to Ep20 so far. But it's really nice to finally see Ginko show some fondness for a girl. Go travelling together, eh? Sounds kinda romantic. =) Can't really imagine the kinda life that Ginko has to lead, what with him not being able to stay in one place for too long without causing it to be overrun by Mushis. I guess that's a pretty depressing life huh. Not being able to settle down.

    Mushishi at an end?

So is Mushishi really only 26 eps long? Ugh now what do I watch? That was the one show i waited for to be subbed. If anyone has any news of them doing any new eps past 26 let me know, or suggestions on new anime that is similar. Just so ya know i do watch more than Mushishi but it is my fav right now and has been since it first came out.

In the end this world is naught but a dream. Evil and ambition scatter into the darkness. All that remains is a dubious rumor among the townfolk.
